'Come back to me Will, come back, I'm right here. I love you...'
Will's mind was reeling...it was all coming back, everything.
He remembered the time before the surgery, four years ago he remembered everything; about where he'd worked, before Monosoft.
He remembered the first time he'd met her.
She'd seemed like an angel and indeed she was.
She was the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid eyes on.
Her spilling coffee on him was the best thing that ever happened to him.
They'd talked and Will felt like he'd known her all his life. He felt like all the missing pieces in his life were suddenly filled.
The memories started filling in from there, arranging themselves in order had though they were files in a cabinet, dusty files that only needed to be cleaned and properly sorted.
With each 'file' that came up, the mystery started getting clearer, the missing links were getting filled and he could suddenly connect the dots.
The memories were returning slow but it as better than nothing-from the day they'd met, to the day they'd had their first date and he'd asked her out, to the time strange things started happening to him.
Will remembered going to church with her for the first time...and how he'd spontaneously combusted, to her miraculously quenching the fire.
She was an enigma.
Finally he remembered her, finally he'd broken the tiring loop.
"Hope..." Will mumbled, his eyes fluttering open.
He groaned sitting up. He was back at the apartment. He was in bed but he was alone. He held a hand to his head, the migraine seemed to have started creeping up from the back of his head.
"How did I get here?" Will murmured.
He looked around him. Everything was in its place. The lights were on-it was dark out already?
How long was he out?
Will sighed. Where did everyone go?
The door to his room creaked open as a cold wind blew in- the door had only been halfway closed.
The lights in the living room were on and he could hear someone moving around in the kitchen. He heard Berry's happy barks and a giggle.
His eyes widened. Someone was home with him.
Will got off from his bed and wore his glasses-he noticed he was without his contacts.
He opened the door and followed the noise through the living room to the kitchen.
He halted.
A woman was right in front of him, cooking. She was hmming softly to herself as she moved the fiddle around the pan.
It was almost like how he'd remembered her where she'd always cook.
Will's heart started beating irregularly and it squeezed the moment she turned around...
"Hope." Will breathed.
She looked at him and smiled.
"Hi William, how are you feeling? I hope you slept well. I made you some eggs; your favourite." The woman said with a smile. She picked up a plate to serve him.
Will said nothing only stared at her. She was right in front of him and he felt a myriad of emotions.
He didn't know which one to pick.
