Hours after Cerise and Daring got to the school and hours since Cerise had been taken from him. He felt guilty. He should have tried harder to protect her but he couldn't.
"Daring I'm sure shes fine"said Dexter placing his hand on his shoulder
"Yeah we all know Cerise is a fighter"said Raven
"But where did you guys go"asked Dexter
"Uh I got lost deep into the woods and Cerise found me"said Daring
He and Cerise agreed not to say anything about the castle.
A few more agonizing hours later Daring was finally allowed to see Cerise.
"Hi Your Highness"said Cerise
"Hey Princess"said Daring quietly
"Whats wrong"asked Cerise
"I'm so so sorry Princess. I've should've done a better job at protecting you but I failed"said Daring
"No its not your fault"said Cerise turning his face towards hers
"Yes it is I wasn't paying attention. I almost lost you"said Daring
"Now lets make two things clear. One, They can't get rid of me that easy and two, you'll never ever lose me"said Cerise holding his cheek
"I just can't help but feel guilty"said Daring
"My cousins are the ones who should feel guilty"said Cerise
A few hours later after a million and one interviews and bandageing Daring arm, Cerise was released from the nurses office.
Daring was in Cerises room before she went to sleep,
"Are you going to be ok"she asked
"Yeah...yeah I will be"said Daring
He kissed Cerise on her forehead and walked out into the dark hallway and ran off for the second time in months.
