{Brain stop coming up with ideas! We have other stories to finish! But this one will be amazing! No we have others to finish! But you don't have one like this! You know you wanna! I hate you so much... In other words, another story I probably won't finish! This starts out at the beginning of the war of Fairy Tail}

Phantom Lord, Oak Towns mage guild. Much was not known about the inner workings of the guild, from a surface look it was like any other guild. Not many knew about the guilds dark underbelly. "Ah, Gajeel and Juvia, thank you for coming." Headmaster Jose Porla said as the two mages entered, there faces empty masks. "I wanted to congratulate you on your work on the fairies guild Gajeel. Too bad it didn't have the desired affect." Jose said as he watched them. "So I have new missions for the both of you." Gajeel noticed Juvia tense up ever so slightly, but he didn't dare move.

"Gajeel, I want you to pluck some fairies. Have some fun with them and get them all riled up. Juvia, your job is to find the Heartfillia girl, you will take Sol with you." He said with a sick smile. Gajeel ground his teeth together, this was the line. "No." He said firmly, cause Juvia to look at him with shock. Jose was strangely calm. "Why ever not Gajeel?" He asked lightly. "Jose I will not hurt anymore innocent people. This whole war idea is pointless, there's no reason to fight Fairy Tail! I'm through, and I'm taking Juvia with me." He nearly growled at the end as he gently gripped the womans shoulder.

Joses following laugh sent chills up his spine. He looked towards the edge of his office. "Aria." He called. The large man emerged from a drawn curtain, his large hand resting on a tiny girls shoulder. She was no older than five, her black hair pulled into high pigtails and her ocean blue eyes were wide with fear. She wore a deep purple dress and small black boots. "Daddy! Aunt Juvia!" The girl cried, and the two mages felt fear clutch at their hearts. "Such a sweetheart, it's not nice to keep things from me Gajeel." Jose said with another sick smile. Gajeel glared at him, rage coursing through his blood.

"It's a shame that Karyn died, never getting to see her daughter grow up. It would be a shame if something happened to her," Jose pat the girls head, making her flinch. "You bas-" "Ah ah ah, you shouldn't use that language around your daughter. Now," He said as he stood. Both mages were glaring daggers at the man now, and outside the rain was so hard one could not see. "You will do as I say. Little Avery will be staying with me until this is all finished. Is that clear?" They were silent for a moment, Gajeels hands shook with rage. "Fine..." He spat. He didn't want to, but his daughter meant more to him than the world itself. Jose motioned for Aria to leave and he took the girl with him, her cries stabbing daggers into Gajeels heart. Wait for me Avery.

Gajeel hurt, his fight with Salamander had been a good one. The war was over, Fairy Tail victorious, and he and Juvia could finally leave with his daughter. Gajeel slowly made his way through the ruined guild, searching for the fallen guild master. It had been several days, but he was sure that he was still here. He found him, withered and powerless thanks to Markarovs spell. "Ah Gajeel, come to help an old man?" Gajeel glared at him.

"Where's Avery?" He asked angrily. Jose sighed. "Oh yes. Nearly forgot about her." Gajeel was fuming as he lifted Jose by his coat. "Where is my daughter?!" He shouted. Jose let out a weak chuckle. "Well you see, I don't have her anymore." He laughed at Gajeels stunned face. "You dared try to defy me Gajeel, so it was punishment. After I sent you after the fairies, I gave her away!" Jose laughed. "I owed a fellow dark guild, and she was perfect payment." Joses laugh was cut off as Gajeels fist met his chin. "Who took her?!" Gajeel shouted. Jose coughed slightly. "Couldn't tell you even if I wanted to. They never gave me their name. Their members protect their identity with false names and keep themselves cloaked. Sorry Gajeel, Avery is long gone."

Gajeel roared in anger as his fist once more met Joses face and sent him tumbling. The iron dragon fell to his knees as his heart shattered. He had hurt those innocent mages, nearly killed them, all to keep his daughter safe. And he had failed. A set of small feet appeared on his field of vision, and he looked up to see none other than master Markarov. "I heard everything young man." He said softly. "I would like you to join my guild." Gajeels eyes widened.

"But... your guild... Your members..." Gajeel said quietly. "A guild we can rebuild. Though you did it for your child, I can not forgive you for what you have done." He said, and Gajeel could feel the power rolling of the small man in waves. "But, I can not let you stay here in the dark. If I were to leave you here, your heart would be devoured by the shadows of hate and anger." Markarov held out his hand. "Join Fairy Tail, a path to light. And I swear, I will do everything in my power to help find your child." Gajeel stared at the man with wide eyes. He had just started a war with his guild, destroyed their home and nearly kills his people. Yet here he was offering to help me and save his daughter. With a shakey hand, Gajeel gripped Markarovs outstretched one, hope in his heart.

{So yeah, this happened}
