Chapter 35

~Saphira~

  My stomach dropped to the bottom of my stomach. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears as my eyes widened enormously.

  "Bullshit!" I jumped in my seat at the sudden outburst.

  I turned towards the doorway to see Trevor, and my mate, Ashton.

  Ashton had anger written across his face and his darkening eyes were narrowed.

  How long had they been there? How much had they heard?

  "How long have y'all been there?" I questioned.

  I really wished Amanda hadn't left.

  "Long enough." Ashton growled out making his way to me.

  I looked to the doorway to see Trevor with a hard expression on his face.

  "I'm going to go find Carmen, I, uh, yea." Trevor said turning around and walking away.

  "Trevor!" I exclaimed starting to stand up.

  "Let him go, he needs to clear his mind and understand what he just heard." Ananda said.

  I turned to see her walk back into the kitchen through the same doorway Ashton had.

  I sighed, thankful someone was here to help me with Ashton.

  He probably had a load of questions and the only answer I had to any of them was food.

  I felt Ashton pull a chair next to me and wrap his arm around my waist, pulling me incredibly close to his side.

  "I won't let anyone hurt my family." Ashton said.

  My heart thundered in my chest again, but for a totally different reason.

  He had said family. He had called me and his future kid family.

  I looked up at him and smiled.

  "I love you." I said pecking his lips softly.

  "I love you too." He replied, returning my soft peck.

  "Yea okay well I'm gonna go find Austin and Simon."

  I rolled my eyes and laughed as Amanda turned around and walked away.

  "So tell me about this prophecy." Ashton said turning to face me.

  Oh man how am I going to explain this? I didn't even understand it at first. Amanda just had to leave before Ashton could ask his questions.

  "Okay so prophecy has it that..."

  "Have you seen Trevor?" I asked Carmen as she walked into the kitchen.

  "No, not in about an hour." She replied grabbing a bottle if water out of the fridge.

  "Oh, okay." I replied biting my lip.

  Where was he?

  I hadn't seen him since he heard about the prophecy.

  "Did he tell you about..." I trailed off.

  Carmen lifted her eyes to meet mine, and for a tenrg of a second I saw fear in her eyes.

  "Yea, he did." She replied.

  I nodded my head and bit down on my lip once again.

  Where was he?
