Hey y'all! Okay I don't have a southern accent but anyways..... I just sprung outta bed with this awesome idea... It's awesome!!! This is my first book, I hope you enjoy!!

I look up from my laptop and see a little girl was tugging my shirt. She was about 5-6 years old and her hair was tied in a ponytail with a big green scrunchie. She had beautiful pale blue eyes and her lips cornered into a smile. I close my laptop and kneel down, holding her soft little hands.

"Yes? Do you need something?" I asked. She didn't reply.

"Are you ok? What is your name?" I asked again. She looked at me and touched my hair.

"Beautiful. Cute. My name Cece." She replied. I smiled.

"Thank you, you are beautiful too. Now go to your mommy." I look at her still smiling until I hear someone say my name.

"Justine!" I turned around. "Justine! Hey, I was going to Bean Coffee House and I saw you here. Wanna come with me?" Gavin inquired.

"Sure, I really need to "get away" from the typical, everyday business." I retorted. I glanced behind my shoulder to see if Cece was gone. In fact she was. I took hold of Gavin's hand and started to walk down the cross walk. When the stoplight turned green, we both ambulated.  When we reached it, the smell of coffees, cannolis, and chocolate filled the air.  I just wanted to eat to my fill. I pushed the clear glass door and the smell intensified more. I saw Gavin smile and still holding hands, I choose table no. 8. It had two maple wood chairs and the tablecloth was the color of cream.  I pull my chair and sit down while Gavin pulls his chair,  looks at me warmly and then sat down.  I pick up the leather bound menu and open it. I slowly drag my finger down the the laminated paper and saw nothing good. Maybe I wasn't in the mood to eat but sure am to drink! I hand the menu down to Gavin and he takes a glance and shuts it close.

"Waiter!  We are ready to order." Gavin said. The waiter  er... waitress came swiftly. She was wearing the same cream colored uniform as the tablecloth with a name tag stitched in, LESLIE.

"Yes? What can I get you two?" Leslie asked taking out a receipt and a pen. Her accent was pure American but I guess she is from the Spanish heritage. I don't want to be stereotypical though.

"Uhh, we will take one small latte and two brown butter rum cannolis. Um, Justine what will you take?" Gavin said.

"Oh well I will take a medium french vanilla cappuccino. Thank you." I told the waitress.

"Thank you. Your food will arrive shortly." Leslie replied. While we were waiting, I was humming and noticed that Gavin looked worried.

I took his hand into mine and stroke it, "Hey Gav, what's wrong?"

"Hmm? Oh nothing, I was just thinking."

"Thinking about what? Is something wrong? Is it about us?" I looked tense. Gavin and I never had a fight so I don't know why the hell I said that.

"Oh it's about my father. Ever since the divorce, He felt as if mom wasn't right for him. So he is thinking of getting remarried...... to Ms.  Anderson."

"What? Why? Isn't she the same woman who used to work at your dad's office?" I was shocked hearing that. Gavin's mom is very nice and I don't know why his father would do something like this. I remember when I missed the last bus on the way home, I bumped into Gavin. I told him that I was going home and I missed the last bus. So Gavin thought we could stay at his mother's house for the night then he can drop me the next morning. I asked him a question, "Why can't you drive me home right now?"

He replied back by saying that his car was in the auto shop getting what he called it a "makeover" and will get it in the morning. I also denied that I couldn't possibly stay at his mom's house. It felt really messed up. I tried making false excuses but he insisted. So I went with him and to my surprise, his mom happily accepted me into her home. We had dinner, we talked and I guess it was great. Having no family in Melbourne, Gavin is the only person I can fully trust.
