Chapter 9

So please remember again that I suck at describing fight scenes, and this will be pretty boring since you've watched or read about this a million times, but bare with me here people

It was a bright sunny day and a lot of police and heroes surrounded a huge stadium that fit thousands of people, no, there wasn't an attack, today was a very important year for not only the aspiring heroes, but also for the support, Gen-ed and business students

It was none other than the U.A. sports festival! An event that happens once a year to show case all of the students skills and give them a chance to transfer to the hero course

So you could tell everybody was hyped, but there were also people who were staring daggers at the 1-A students, but the latter just shrugged it off and pretended they didn't see or feel anything, not until a specific student put a target on his back

"I'm gonna win this thing" Bakugou said and walks down the stage, not only were the students enraged, but the spectators too

Izuku just stood there, fighting the urge to roll his eyes, he knew he did that intentionally, but Izuku couldn't help but feel that Bakugou was somehow stupid

As Midnight pressed a red button in her hands, a huge screen appeared, showing something similar to a pin wheel of some sorts, and as it spinned, and spinned, it finally landed in the obstacle course challenge

A race against all the students through multiple traps and obstacles, Izuku lined up and quickly raised One for All to 1%, he didn't want to get attention because of his quirk, he wanted the people to see that he could get first place without it

So he ran, a bit faster than the others yet still not in the lead, which was okay, he would speed up at the last second to really get their attention

He ran through robots, balanced himself through cables, dodged every ball that was thrown at him, and lastly the minefield, this was the last obstacle, the one that would give the ones behind a chance to take the lead, so he dug up every mine he could find, used a metal plate that he picked up from the robots earlier, and smashed it on the mines, causing a huge explosion that sent him flying

Once he was ahead of Todoroki and Bakugou, he let go of the metal plate and jumped, curling up into a ball and stood up once his body hit the ground, using the momentum he had gathered, he dashed through the somewhat arch and the next thing he knew, he was inside the stadium, with Present Mic shouting like crazy

He... He had won.

But it didn't stop there, the next one was the cavalry battle, and since he was first, he had a million points right in his hands, he was supposed to be frustrated, but Izuku clearly remembered his chat with All Might earlier and he quickly gained back his cheery smile

Remembering how All Might told him about All for One, listening to his every word that had a hint of fear, it was more than uplifting, because that very man that All Might was afraid of, the very man that All Might wanted him to defeat, was the only man who supported him even though he was quirkless

How Ironic...

Izuku thought to himself as he found a steady team, it consisted of Uraraka, Mei Hatsume from the support class and Tokoyami

They had tried to invite Iida but he had joined Todoroki's team, along with Yaoyarozu and Kaminari, Katsuki ended up teaming with Eijiro, Hanta, and Mina. Minoru convinces Mezo and Tsuyu to join his team. All the while, everyone avoided Izuku because his point value was too high. 

Though he didn't mind, he was use to people avoiding him like the plague, he got it, everyone is so stupid that they think being quirkless is some sort of disease that will rub off them

Izuku just rolled his eyes at those thoughts and continued explaining to his team his plans, they would fasten the ribbon with 1 million point to his neck, Hatsume will use her inventions to propel themselves and increase their mobility, while Uraraka would stabilize them using her quirk, and Tokoyami would use dark shadow to defend and fight if necessary

As the battle started, it was obvious they would target Izuku, but some were a bit sloppy that lead to Izuku getting their ribbons, giving him one million and five hundred points

They used both Uraraka's quirk and Hatsume's inventions to propel them upwards, making it impossible for most of the students to reach them, now it was just up to Tokoyami and Izuku to defend the ribbons from the ones who could

It was about one minute before the match ended that Bakugou used his quirk to propel himself upwards, apparently, he had found a loophole in the rules

As long as he didn't touch the ground, he was still in the game, but of course, since Izuku had notice that loophole earlier, he had already made a counter measure

Bakugou rushed at Izuku, throwing an explosion at Dark Shadow which made him weak, he then proceeded to grab the bottom ribbon and landed gracefully back at his team just as the teachers had announced that the battle had finished

Bakugou thought he won, but once he looked at the score bored, he was a mixture of petrified and enranged

Izuku still had one million points, heck, he had 1,000,450 points, while bakugou had around a thousand points

Izuku was relieved, he knew that someone was still gonna retrieve his points so he flipped them over, covering the white print on the ribbons and shuffled them

Two matches down, and he was still first place in all of them, he was happy, Izuku thought that if he had a huge impact on the heroes this way, once he revealed himself as a villain it would cause a huge uproar

Izuku could imagine it now, pure chaos, oh how he loves that, he quickly hid his sinister grin and replaced it with a wobbly smile and teary eyes

And just like that, they were given a few minutes to rest so they could recover from some of their bruises and injuries before the PvP battle

But when Izuku was about to rest, he was quickly dragged by Todoroki who had started telling him his tragic back story just because Izuku managed to get him to use his flame accidentally

Izuku inwardly groaned at how many times people told him their tragic back story and how they became friends in the end

What is this, a shounen manga?!

So the next part will be tomorrow, I'm not gonna go into full detail about meaningless battles which practically everyone knows about all ready, plus I'm lazy :P
