Aera was called back into a meeting room not too long after, greeted by only Somyi and Dahee this time. It appeared that Bongju had disappeared again, as his stuff was in a chair next to Dahee.
"Did Mrs Choi explain to you about the shoots?" Somyi asked, and Aera didn't reply straight away, sitting down first and pulling out her folder.
"Yes, she told me about the concepts and the reasons why I had been chosen for the majority of the things." Aera nodded, opening up the folder and pulling out a few pieces of paper that Mrs Choi had given her, as well as the schedule.
"Is this about the W shoot?" She was only asking because in the process of getting it out, her schedule had once again reminded her of how little time there was between then and the first photoshoot.
"Sort of. This is like a pre-meeting. We have about twenty minutes before the official meeting begins. As you are so involved in three of the shoots before NCT 2020, we thought we should perhaps talk about your responsibilities with these jobs." Dahee explained, and Aera nodded.
At that moment, Bongju reappeared, holding a small, plastic covered slip of paper - a staff pass. He handed it to Aera, who stared down at it, her employee photo staring back at her - something that Mrs Choi had them do only weeks before, probably as she was informed of this happening and wanted to be prepared.
Aera thanked him, and turned back to Somyi, who was going over some basics - which Aera already knew, but didn't want to be mean and interrupt her. The next fifteen or so minutes were spent by the three SM representatives telling Aera more general stuff than anything.
How there was no set budget for anything, but they had to check what she was ordering first. That she would be filmed, but her face blurred. That she needed to be at the shoot at least an hour before it was actually to start. How she was in charge of the other makeup artists and stylists hired for the three shoots she was involved in.
It was still sort of surreal, how close she would be with idols who she hadn't even dared to consider working with. Taemin, mostly. The guy was a legend, and for that reason, Aera was somewhat terrified she would mess up the shoot, even though she had already developed an idea of how it would look and go, having been given the images of the set for the music video, and also the concept images.
But she couldn't worry about that now - first was Johnny and Jaehyun, as well as the beginning of the planning for NCT 2020. Which would, no doubt, be a large scale project that required a lot of planning of the stylist's group's part, considering there were twenty three individual idols to style and plan outfits for.
Miya soon joined them, and with this meeting, there was no messing around. Instantly, Bongju was handing out photos of the set, Somyi instructing them on what sort of style they wanted to go for the W shoot. Dahee sat down with Miya and Aera and together, they began to find clothes, and even order some.
Gucci, Wooyoungmi - brands that Aera had only used a couple of times, but with the somewhat unlimited budget, could rent as much as she wanted. A suit here, a shirt there - things which would no doubtedly look incredible on one of the two boys.
By the end of the meeting, the clothes were ordered for Johnny, and the beginnings of some for Jaehyun. Due to them being for such a prominent company, they could easily pay to fast track the shipping.
"Usually we would have a lot longer to plan, but the other styling team ended up being fired." Dahee said casually, as they were packing up their stuff for the fifteen minute break between that meeting and the first one about NCT 2020.
Aera would be working late that day, as she had the first meetings about SuperM and Taemin after that - which would both last for at least an hour, whereas the NCT 2020 one was scheduled for two or three.
It would be a lot of work, but Aera was determined to make Mrs Choi feel as if she had made the right choice, and that she was fit to be the leader of NCT 2020.
The projects she was involved in could most likely make or break her career, put her out there to the world. Or the very opposite, snatch her from it, ending her career that she had worked so hard for.
And Aera hoped it would be the first, rather than the latter.
