Taylor POV
"You still haven't figured anything out have you?" I ask her. She glances at me but then looks out her window. "Or did your father never tell you that an Alpha can find his mate when his wolf wakes up, and some even before that."
'How long?' She links me.
"We should be there in about thirty more minutes." I tell her.
'No how long have you known.'
"Basically your whole life, I have felt connected to you. But I finally figured it out on my eightteenth birthday after I did what I did."
'Why not try and make amends?'
"Your dad banned me from your pack, and told my parents if he caught me anywhere near you it would mean war. My dad told him what I had discovered, and he laughed about it. Said I would never have my mate then. I take it you never told your parents I was a teacher at the school."
'No, I wanted to but my wolf stopped me every time I tried to.'
"She knew. Your wolf wants her mate."
'Her mate never tortured her like you did to me.' She links then goes back to staring out the window.
"Odessa..."
'Just leave me alone.' She links without even looking at me.
"No you are going to hear me out. Once I figured out who you were, my wolf hated me, for everything I ever did to you. I started seeing the pack doctor to talk about things. He thinks that I knew who you were when you were born somehow. Because up until the other boys started looking at you I never hurt you. Once they noticed you what's the first thing I did?" I ask her and wait for he answer.
'Pulled me out of the burrow by my hair.'
"What did I do after I did that?"
'You bit my neck and drew blood.'
"What does a mate do when marking their mate?"
'Bite their neck and draw blood.'
"Exactly I was trying to mark you back then. My mind already knew what was to be."
'How I was only five making you eight.'
"Alpha here, some of us can find our mates when they are born."
'Why hurt me then, why not hurt the boys?'
"I did trust me. As I found them I beat the living shit out of them. And the weekend our parents left us with the sitter, I put one of the boys in the hospital before I did that to you."
'The night of your birthday?'
"That night I ripped a pack member apart. He was linking how good your voice would sound screaming his name from underneath him. It drove me insane all I could see was that image. Then when I tried to come see you I was not allowed to enter your dad's territory."
