Odessa POV
I am about five the first time he hurts me. We are playing hide and seek with the other alphas kids. He is it and I was hiding. He was the oldest of us and it was getting late. Our dads linked us that this was the last round and as we were found to return to the cabin assigned to our pack. I guess he found everyone else first. When he found me he grabbed my hair and pulled me out of the burrow I was in. "Looks like I found a scared little rabbit." He says sniffing my neck. "The other boys liked finding you. But you are mine." Next thing I know he bit my neck hard enough to draw blood. Then he licks the wound, and drops me and walks away.
Next I am about seven. Our parents went on a meeting for a weekend, and left all the alpha kids with the same sitter. I was in his sisters room playing with her. He walks in and grabs my arm pulling me out of her room, and into his. "None of the other boys can look at you. We need to give you a makeover so they don't want to." He says grabbing scissors. He starts cutting my hair off. Once he is done with that he sees my earrings. He grabs the right one and pulls it out. I run out of his room and find the girl watching us. She takes me to the doctor and he puts stitches in my ear. Then keeps me there the rest of the weekend.
I am now fifteen and we are visiting them for his eightteenth birthday. My parents made me learn a song to sing to him. When it comes time to open the gifts my dad says I have a special gift for him. I stand up and start to sing. A few of the other Alphas boys start paying attention and he loses it. He walks up to me and I stop singing. "Pretty voice." He whispers in my ear. I go to tell him thanks but he continues to talk. "Other boys think it too. It has to go." He says before he cuts my throat with his knife. I see his eyes once his skin touches mine. Something sparks in them. Next thing I know I wake up in my packs hospital. With my dad beside me on one side and Gavin on the other.
"Odessa this is Gavin Cruise he will protect you from now on."
The next time I see Taylor Gregory he is teaching at my school. I have him as home room teacher. Luckily Gavin is in the class with me. But I have him later in the day as well without Gavin. The first day he kept touching me. The next he was watching the guys in the class how they looked at me. The third day he gave an after school detention. To discuss something's. I sent Gavin a fast text letting him know I had detention and to go on home. Then waited for class to end.
"You always seem to draw the attention of any male around you." He says locking the door. I close my eyes. Not this again, we haven't seen each other since he turned eightteen three years ago. "Open your eyes and look at me." I do as he says not wanting to make him mad. "I have done everything in my power to keep you from them. Even took you beautiful voice, but yet they still stare at you." He says grabbing my hair in his fist. "The scar is barely noticeable." He says pulling my head back. What he does next surprises me. He kisses the scar. I look towards him trying to figure out what he is going to do. "No makeup from now on. Hair ponytail or down. Nothing special." He says letting my hair go. I stand up and start walking towards the door. "There is still twenty minutes of detention left." He says, I look at him and he is pointing at a chair. I sit down and do my homework. "You may go now." He tells me. "Remember no makeup tomorrow." The next day I wear makeup and fix my hair in curls. I get another detention and another lecture but along with the lecture I get pain. "All will make sense in a few days. Until then no males touch you or I will kill them in front of you. No makeup and ponytails only for your hair. He says smacking my leg. I distance myself from guys aside from Gavin. Which Taylor takes care of with assigned seats. Then there is my newest nightmare. The one from last week. When he marked me. Not giving me a choice. Now I truly belong to him. I have not returned to school nor have I seen Gavin. I think that's what hurts the most. Gavin has disappeared on me. My parents won't answer me when I ask about him. My brothers won't talk to me at all.
