Ninjago: The Betrayed Ninja

Chapter 5

I finish telling the ninja what happened over the three years. Suddently, glass shatters. I'm up, going behind the bar and Susan had fell. Kneeling, I help pick up the beer mugs and sweep the glass.

Giving a smile, she goes to the hostess stand. I move behind the bar and the ninja walk over, sitting down. Light comes through the doors, I pick hem up.

"Uncle Ray want drink." He says. I smile, grab a glass and fill it with coke. Ruffling Lights hair, he carefully takes it and carries it back to the kitchen. "Is he one of the cooks." Nya asks. I sigh, time to let the cat out the bag.

"He's mine." I say. Silence meets my words. One of the woman waves, she's wanting another beer. Going over, taking the empty one, I grab her check. "I want another one....." Her speech is a little slurred.

"You have a husband and two kids. You don't need a nother, ma'am. Please, hand your keys and I'll call a cab or your husband." I say.

She looks at me than digs into her purse, handing over her keys. Grabbing the dinners phone, she dials the number.

Walking to the ninja, the phone picks up. 'Hello.' "Mr.Mattews." I answer. 'Yes, who is this.' He answers. I hand Ms.Mattews her card back. "Your wife is here and she's had one too many. I have her keys....." Mr.Mattews chuckles.

'I'm on the way. Danny's dinner, right.' "Yes sir." I say and we hang up. Placing the phone back, I nod at Ms.Mattews. "Danny hired me in my second month. I'm an omega." I say. Danny walks over, he smiles. "Can I talk to you, Kai." He asks.

We go to the back room, I sit in the chair. "Kai, you've been here for three years. And yet, you've never asked for anything." I get uneasy. "Your the hardest worker here, you care for the customers and your co-workers. So, I want to ask this."

Danny leans forward. "I'm not getting any younger, I have no one to inherit the diner. So, I'm asking. Will you be co-owner and help run the diner if I'm not here." Danny asks.

I lean back, it's a lot to take in. But, if he's asking me, I'll take it. "If that's what you wish, I'll gladly except." I say. Danny pulls out a sheet of paper. Handing it and a pen to me. I sign my name and Danny holds a hand out.

I shake it but he pulls me in and hugs me. "Your a God's gifts. Thank you for walking in that day." I smile and walk out. Going behind the bar again, Ashley smiles. Incase you didn't know, me and Danny are the only boys.

Light comes back as we're closing. I grab his bag and we walk out. Locking the place up, me and Light head home. Cole grabs my arm "Where y'all going." He says.

"Our home. It's that way." I thumb behind. He nods and we go our separate ways. Walking home, I go I  and lock the door. Tucking Light in bed, I change and get in bed

Closing my eyes, I fall asleep.
