A/N Thank you to Nacole for all the work she has done. Just to let everyone know I was in the hospital for sepsis/kidney infection, again. While there, I had a mild stroke. I have problems with my right hand. I will become 100% or close to it, but it takes a little time.

Talia and Derek ran into the woods with werewolf speed. Newt and the others ran afterwards as soon as they reached the clearing on the ground, they saw a dead tiger, and two wolfed out, snarling Hales' hiding Stiles behind them.

"I didn't know there were tigers here," Stiles choked out, his entire body trembling with fear.

"Neither did I," Alby added.

"You think our captors are now releasing them to what test us or kill us?" Stiles would strangle Gerard Argent with his bare hands. The man was a monster.

"I honestly don't know. You head back we'll take care of this. At least we have a different meat to eat." Alby turned to Gally, "You're helping me."

Gally knew not to argue with that tone, it didn't happen often, but when it did you followed those orders.

"I just need a few minutes," with that Stiles walked off. Talia and Derek slowly followed.

They both watched as he stopped by a lake. Talia pushed her son indicating he should go over there

"But."

"Now Derek."

"Fine." He gave her a quick glare. Just having this interaction with his mother filled his heart with happiness. Derek never believed he would have had it again. "Stiles?" He queried as soon as he was by the water too.

"I'm fine, really."

Derek couldn't wait any longer; he reached out and pulled the Stiles into his arms and held him. They stood there for a while longer, just taking comfort. They pulled back and stared into each other's eyes. Slowly they moved towards each other, and finally, their lips met in a soft kiss, their eyes closed as they fell into it, arms tightening around each other.

Stiles pulled back before they could deepen it. Firstly he knew Talia was still there and secondly Derek hadn't been told about the mates' thing. He didn't want Derek to feel like he'd been forced into it, especially with everything that happened with Kate.

"What is it?" Derek asked.

Stiles looked over at Talia and then back to him. "There's something you need to know." He took hold of Derek's hand and pulled him down to the ground.

Talia walked over and joined them.

"Okay, what am I missing?"

"Have you been feeling jittery, worried and missing Stiles more than you expected?" Talia watched as her son looked away, embarrassed. "Please honey, it's important. I need you to be honest."

Derek took a deep breath. "Fine, yes to all of them." He reluctantly admitted.

"I've been feeling the same way," Stiles knew that he also needed to be honest.

"Really?" He waited for a nod. "What's going on?"

"When you were a little boy, you could fully shift, just like I can."

"But I can't."

"When you were young Gerard Argent had seen you shift. I don't think he knew who you were. When you were human, he grabbed you and tried to force you. It terrified you so much you blocked out the memory and couldn't do it from then onwards."
