learning from the Captain

Switching games was like learning the trick of the trade and tell ya I just seemed to have beginners luck. I knew more than anything he probably was holding back except with the dice game. Analise was watching my move clearly knowing I was amused by the Captain. I was free to make my own choices at the moment but my amusement was stopped when another woman walked over. I took a good look t her seeing she was older than I was clearly, her cleavage more on display than I had mine and she was literally flirting with him.

"My apologies Luv, but I really should give my full attention to my new crew mate. She's learning all the new tricks and games." Killian said

Did he just send her away for me? I thought

Analise lightly pinched my arm to bring me back to reality that I was still a princess and he was a pirate. Father would never approve of my attraction to the ruthless pirate. Dashing rapscallion pirate, I realized quickly I was attracted to him maybe that's why I was so willing to come.

"Isn't she a bit young to be with you?" The woman said
"Well I can keep up with everyone." I said

the men merely watched me and my talk but who was I to back down when this woman was talking down to me. Killian raised his eye brow seeing my boldness but I was not going to back down if he chose to stay with me to teach me the pirate ways. The woman nearly seemed to be about to say something but walked away.

"To Selena." See said as they got another round of drinks

I decided to drink with them since I was unsure what to do next anyway. Killian still insisted on teaching me and we were all having a good time. Analise didn't drink as much as I did so when I got up she was there to help me walk. Killian was staggering like I was but he picked me up over his shoulder going with him.

"Come on Seeleena, No getting light weight on me." Killian said

We went on the ship and once we were below deck he placed me on my feet. I'd learned a lot tonight like if you play a game involving drinks you can get 3 sheets to the wind. I was going to the cabin when I felt him turn me around and our lips were nearly close.

"You were quite bold tonight." Killian said
"Yes Captain." Amira said
"You should be bold more often." Killian said

I wanted nothing more at the time in my drunk state than for him to kiss me. To choose who my first kiss would be with was the thing I wanted most. I could sense he was hesitant but he wanted me but something was holding him back. We were close and he seemed to have an internal conflict with himself before pulling away from me to turn to his quarters.

"Good night Amira." Killian said

"Good night." Amira said

I went into my cabin as I layed down going to sleep only to be welcomed by a hangover the next day. I didn't move from my cabin bed as the way things were. Analise came in and she tended to me getting me to throw up what was left in a bucket she had which helped me feel better.

"Oh my head." Amira said
"Too much to drink Amira." Analise said
"I was enjoying myself." Amira said

"Enjoying yourself so much you almost kissed the captain." Analise said

I looked at her like she was crazy but then the look she gave me was a serious one. I blushed a bit knowing there was no way he would be interested in me. I was a princess and I remembered the boldness yesterday. I had a feeling that may have been part of it.

When we came up to the deck, I saw we were already out on Sea. Analise waited for orders as the men told her to come help and I was going to follow when I felt someone take my hand. I looked seeing Killian as he led me up to the helm.

"Did you sleep well princess?" Killian asked
"I did" Amira said

Killian led me till we were behind the helm and he used his good hand to place my hands in the right places. I wondered what he had in mind but I was going to go along with it for now. He pointed to the P and S to teach me how to steer the ship.

"Everyone learns how to steer the ship eventually. Since your time with the crew is unknown best to teach you now than not teach you at all." Killian said

I didn't question anything knowing this was going to be my next thing to learn. He was right my time with his crew was unknown but that didn't mean I didn't have a lot to learn by going about this. He never left my side as I kept focused, it was only when it was getting dark and awe made it to port did he take over.

"Good job Amira." Killian said
"thank you Captain" Amira said

I walked down where Analise was and she noticed that something was seeming to be up. I completely ignored it just figuring that everything was just as it always had been normal. As we walked off the ship Analise walked with me at first till Killian pulled me up by him as he walked ahead of the group. He motioned for Analise to follow behind as we both were close.

"Well now, let's see what we can do to teach you girls what's next." Killian said

"What would that be Captain?" I asked
"Pick pocketing." Killian said

My expression changed I could feel it since I was always one for giving to the people not taking from them. Analise gave me a look which calmed me down. Killian's hand on my arm tightened a bit when we walked past some men. I figured that he was being protective at the time.

"The Captain is quite protective of Selena." One of the men whispered
"Yes, she must be very important to the Captain. He doesn't show as much concern with the other." The other said

"Never seen him take an interest in someone since Milah." The other whispered

They talked like I couldn't hear them but now I was curious about a few things. Who was Milah? Clearly there was more going on than I even knew and I had to figure all of this out. Even with how he treated me better than Analise. I knew there had to be more to it but also he was still holding onto my arm in a protective manner which meant it wasn't safe clearly.
