I wasn't sure how long I was out but eventually, I started to come to and I sat up. I knew there was a lot going on but I started to get up. I knew there was a lot but when I felt someone's arm around me I looked seeing Killian. My eyes widened and I felt my face get red as I tried to recall what had happened but it was kinda fuzzy.
"Captain." I said as I looked at him, he was a light sleeper it seemed cause he woke up before I said another word. It took a few minutes when he looked at me "What did you mean about what you said?" Killian asked, I just looked at him puzzled I really didn't remember. He took my hand then put the cold part of the hook against my cheek. "Your protection is my responsibility Princess, I won't have you make stunts like that or I can just take you back home." Killian said
"U-Understood." I said as he removed the hook, then he led me up to the deck as I saw we were already on the sea. He led me up by the helm as he put my hands on places "You're going to steer the ship, or at least learn how to." Killian said as he pointed to the letters on the wood. "Port is left, starboard is right."
As he guided me on our destination, I knew this wasn't going to be too hard. "You said you were just trying to stop the pain, you felt in your chest." I had nothing to say as he was adjusting the helm when I put it too far over. "I said that, did I?" I asked as I could feel he was staring at me knowing that it wasn't going to be easy. "Yes, you did. So why, would you be feeling pain in your chest? Something wrong with your father?" Killian asked
I knew that was part of what I could use but he was a pirate, he was good at lying so he'd know if I lied. "My father is sick, I heard about it from someone." I said as I paid attention to the way things were. I wanted to stay like this but how could I do that when my father was ill, could die. "You're lying, partially. I hope the king gets better but now what is the real reason you said it and how did you really find out?"
I debated a few things over in my head as I knew there wasn't going to be another chance to lie. He wouldn't hurt me but he'd surely dump me back home if he thought I was lying again. "Light magic is how I found out. I've known for some time I had the gift for it." I said, "As for my reason..." I mumble the answer "I like you." He was looking at me as I could feel his stares at me and then he had me look at him "What was that last part, Love?" Killian asked as I did it again just a little louder but he insisted I say it again where he could hear it. "I like you, ok?" I said as I blushed and got my face free looking forward
For a bit of time we didn't say anything, what could we say there was this attraction but our status in life were different. I wasn't sure how long we sailed before he decided to speak. "Your father would never allow it." Killian said as I looked at him, "My father desires the happiness of his people and those who live or lived in his kingdom." I said as I paid attention looking forward "Honestly, I think that's why he let me come, being the second born daughter of the king it's tiring being compared to your older sister."
"I had a brother once, we sailed for a king before I became a pirate. It was his death that set me down this path." Killian said as I was shocked but he didn't speak about him more. I questioned why he mentioned but this was what it was like when we were alone. Analise soon came up on deck but he went back to instructing me on what to do. Analise looked surprised to see me steering.
"You're a natural." Killian said as I smiled, "thank you." I said as I remembered what the necklace represented. It was given to me as protection but maybe he was right, maybe there was a future but it wouldn't be easy for either of us.
