So you have gotten your items o you just want to cleanse something! Well there are many way to cleanse items and i'll only be sharing a few i've found out over my communications with other way more experienced witches! Now please remember that you are not required to use these methods these are just what i have found out from many other people! Without any further ado lets dive into the different types of cleansing!
Option #1 - Salt!
If your a closeted witch like me then your looking for subtle but effective ways to practice witchcraft or on the contrary if your an open witch and your just looking for a cheap way to cleanse your tools, this will work for just about everyone its simple, subtle, and cheap! Now all you need to do is set your tools in salt! Now i'm not sure about how fast this works but i know from others that it is very effective! So for this an example would be to get a large bowl of salt if you want to cleanse multiple objects at once and i suggest putting the items in FIRST that way you don't end up using your potion bottles to shovel salt out of a container and spilling salt everywhere just to find out you container was too small and having to get rid of all of it like me!
After you do that you just sorta...leave it to sit Its up to you for how long you leave it there but its my understanding that longer is usually better! Salt water works too but make sure your tool that you cleansing isn't water soluble and if its a crystal please make sure it can withstand water without damage! I'd would hate to hear about someone loosing a crystal to the salty depths of the water! Long story short with the right prep this can be a permanent cleansing option for witches alike!
Option #2 - Smoke/ Steam
This is one of the more well known of the types of cleansing and you can use it by burning and incense, sage, or any type of herb you'd like! All you need to do with this is let your object pass through the smoke. You can also use this to cleanse yourself by burning the things listed above and meditating, and letting the scent ground you! Its pretty easy and im just now learning how to cleanse so as i said before things will update as i learn them so if chapters start to slow down slightly then i apologize, anyways not much more to say with this option so lets head to the next one!
Option #3 - Fire
This is an option i just learned about while working on finding more than 2 ways of cleansing (lol) and its pretty cool but it is dangerous so PLEASE be careful! For this option all you need to do is let your object pass through the fire! Now obviously we cant put ourselves through fire or our clothes or really anything flammable! Now this is why you should try out different types of cleansing! See which one your drawn to the most!
Option #4 - Solar and Lunar energy!
This is the most crazy sounding one i know but let me explain! Now i'm going to split this into two parts one for solar cleansing and one for lunar!
Solar Cleansing
All you need to do for this is let your tools bathe in sunlight! You can lay in sunlight as well if you want to cleanse yourself, You could also try meditating this way as well! Its all up to you remember!
Lunar Cleansing
This is a little more difficult as you should do it when the moon is radiating the most energy so 1 day before and after the full moon including the full moon itself I am personally going to try to meditate on a full moon just to see what will happen but you guys do not have to!
