"N-nyaa! It hurts!" Riku cries out in pain. Iori and mitsuki immediately let go.

"We heard a yell! What happen?" Sougo runs in with the rest of the members. His voice that usually soft and mild turn into harsh.

Riku turns around seeing the older man and tears flows down on itself.

"G-gomenasai! I don't know why it happens now. It- it never happens in the past 10 years and i-

"Calm down riku-kun.. Its okay.. Its fine, no one will judge you" sougo immediately runs to the crying boy and comforts him.

Riku sniffled and nodded into Sougo’s shirt, trying to steady his heaving breaths. Sougo ran gentle fingers over Riku’s scalp, prodding lightly at the clips holding Riku’s ears down.

Riku tried to pull away when they twinged with pain but Sougo held him close so he couldn’t get far. Sougo was quick after that, unsnapping both barrettes at the same time and freeing his ears. Riku let out a hiss at the sudden release and felt his ears swivel around in relief.

"There.. Its better right?" Sougo says softly. Tamaki approach them

"Is he going to be fine, sou-chan?"

"He will be fine but if he did something to the ears then the tail must be the same. Tamaki-kun please untie his tail" sougo asks the boy. Tamaki nods and start checking riku's tail

"Oh, he uses sock. Silly rikkun, you should use shoelaces" tamaki says amused and let the tail out. He stroke it softly earning a happy sound from riku

Look at the tip, Sou-chan!” Tamaki chuckled brightly, and holding Riku’s tail aloft for Sougo to see,

“It’s like he dipped it in paint! It’s the same with his ears, too. Why would you want to hide these Rikkun? They’re super cute!”

“That’s what I’d like to know as well, yotsuba-san,” Iori’s voice cut through Riku’s happy haze. The rumbling in his chest stopped and Riku found himself burrowing deeper into Sougo’s embrace. How was he supposed to answer that question?

"Well, i think the answer is obvious" Sougo said, voice cold and sharp like a knife,

“It’s common knowledge that children are irrational and emotional when they go into Season. For someone like Riku-kun, who hasn’t gone into Season in over ten years and doesn’t have the immediate support structure of his family present, the fear of rejection must have been immense. He was probably scared we would be mad at him after he said he wasn’t going into Season and then did.”

“But that’s crazy!” Mitsuki insisted, “There’s no way we could be mad at him for something like that!”

“Exactly,” Sougo said, sickly sweet, “So why is it that I came in here to find him sobbing his eyes out after what looked like you two attacked him?”

"Gulp..." Mitsuki and iori stands frozen at his cold tone. Tamaki grins and say

"Iorin, you shouldn't make kitten cry in season. You sinner"

Sougo’s face was turned away from riku but he had a pretty good idea what it looked like right then. Tamaki had taken up a guardian position next to Sougo’s shoulder and his eyes held an amused glint.

"G-gomen riku... We make you feel uncomfortable" mitsuki says guiltily. Riku frowns and shake his head

"No, its fine. You don't know I'm in season so its partly my fault too"

"You shouldn't defend us nanase-san. A sinner should deserve a punishment" iori says with gloomy aura feeling dejected to make a "kitten" cry.

Iori hiding his face in his mug of tea and mumbling, “He should know better than to pin down cat ears.”

“I’m sorry Iori-kun, I don’t think I heard that correctly,” Sougo said darkly, “Would you like to repeat that apology so we can all hear it?”

“I’m sorry for distressing you in your vulnerable state, Nananse-san,” Iori said hurriedly, jumping up out of his seat and bowing at the waist,

“That was unacceptable behavior as your friend and bandmate. Please forgive me.”

"Good boy" sougo says with a "smile". Iori smiles nervously while mitsuki trying to change the subject

"R-riku! You still want the grilled fish?"

Riku ears twitch at the words and nods happily. "Yes! I want it!!"

"want pudding,” Tamaki moaned.

“Pudding is not a breakfast food Tamaki-kun,” Sougo admonished lightly.

You all sure are making a lot of noise this morning,” Yamato said, yawning as he entered the room, “What’s all the fuss about?”

“Oh my,” Nagi said, following after Yamato. One look at Riku had him rushing over to the counter,

"KYAAAA!!!! WE HAVE A NEW CUTE KITTEN IN OUR DORM"

everyone close their ears immediately from the ear piercing shout from nagi.

"HISSS!!!" riku hissed at nagi cutely and frown at him. But Nagi doesn't mind and hug riku tightly

"N-nagi!! Waaah!" Riku looks around surprised when nagi pick him up like a children.

"Ah.. This will be a chaotic month" yamato sigh and rub his head.
