The voice pierced my heart and I knew who it was . The warning sign inside my head was flashing , blood red color flashing inside my head giving me a sign that I should have a weapon on my hand right now . We both turned around greeted with aunts smile , I used to love it but now all I can see is the broken women behind it . Lies and betrayal filled me and the anger boiled inside me , I tried to push it down but it wont budge .
“ I thought your mom and dad was the cutest couple ever , well I always hated them together . I guess history repeats itself “ she said not trying to disguise the disgust in her words
She walked towards us and Devon stepped in front of me , if I wasn’t glued to the floor boards right now I would tell him I could fight some old granny , but that wasn’t the case . Blood pumping and flowing filled my ears and all I could do was stare at aunt as she approached us , my legs stuck at the place where I was standing froze and glued to the floorboards . She threw her head back and laughed this menacing laugh that pierced into my ear and the hair behind my neck stand “ Oh hunny you need to drop the innocent act “ she twirl her gun around making my heart stops every few seconds , her fingers lingering on the trigger “ You need to move back , I need to talk to my niece “ she said looking at Devon .
I was happy that he stayed quite but did not budge , she pointed the gun at him and my heart stopped . I was sweating my hurt was beating rapidly but seeing the gun pointed towards Devon stopped everything , it was as if the time was froze and I am glued into place . I snapped back to reality and gently pushed Devons arm that was blocking my way down . He shot me a death glare but I ignored him and stared at my aunt , if looks could kill my aunt would be on the ground with eyes closed .
“ Trying to be the hero in all of this my niece ? Your mom did that too look where she ended up “ she said , my hand were balled into fists so tight I could feel the nails piercing my skin .
“ don’t worry aunt , you’ll rot in jail before dying alone “ I spat at her
“ oh that’s about to change my darling “ she said walking to wards my back , I could feel the metal of the gun resting on my back and my heart started to beat rapidly filling my ear drums with every beat . I saw a movement beside me and I could hear Devon’s harsh breathing , he was breathing so fast making my heart beats faster “ move one inch boy and I will shoot your girlfriend’s head off “
