Never let your guard down

Home sweet home

I dodge left and right,trying to get me and Luke to safety. Its not helping when they are trying to take a bite out of you. Right now I'm holding Luke's hand guiding us out of this mess.

I stop and jump as high as I could jump and see zombies for yards. I spin around and spot trees,of course! I pull luke to a tree and tell him to climb. Luke's only half way up and by now the walkers are closing in on me.

I pull out my bow and start shooting some that are getting close. "Luke stay here I'll come back for you, I promise!" With that I ran dodging and slicing with my small pocket knife I have. I see a clearing and start running for it.

The zoms are thinning out but they are still following me. I make it to the clearing and look back to see a couple of zoms following me. I sigh and turn around, taking in my surroundings. The woods is behind me and then a couple of trees in the clearing.

My mind drifts back to Luke  about what happened earlier today. He almost got raped. A tear goes down my face and I wipe it away. It was getting really dark out so I decided to go back to Luke. I'm at the tree I left him and I don't see him.

I see lots of tracks around the trees that weren't there when I left him. Looks like he put up a good fight. I knew what shoe he was wearing because he was wearing the same type of shoes I was wearing,converse.I follow the tracks for a couple of minutes but stop because they stopped.

I look around to see a shadow in the tree. I pull out my bow and aim it at the shadow. I see something familiar and realized it was Luke's black converse. I put my bow away and clime up the tree just to be welcomed by soft snores.

I mentally laugh and decided to just let him sleep. I take out my shoelace of my shoes and tie it around him. I had a feeling he might fall off. I look at Luke one more time before falling in to darkness....

I wake up to birds chirping and a snoring Luke. I chuckle to my self and decided I would get some breakfast for us. I untie my shoelace and put them back in the holes. Luke didn't move at all,well only his head.

I clime down the tree and head off down the road in a jogging pace. A couple of minutes past and by then I'm nearing my cave. 'Crap, I need to feed my cats'. I break into a run and am at the cave in less than a minute.

I grab some nutty bars and two protein bars. Then start heading back. I'm way to half Luke when I came up with an idea, highjack a car if need to. Hey,when your dad used to fix cars and you had nothing to do but watch him, you'll learn some things along the way.

I get to Luke to see him still asleep. I climb the tree quietly as I can and sit on the branch. I shake him slightly but he doesn't buge. "Luke." Nothing. "Luke" natta. My heart beat increases by the second. I had enough. "LUKE!"

I hit is arm at the same time while screaming his name."WHAT!" I sigh in relief and hand him his food telling him to eat." Thanks for saving me back there, I would have lost my you know." He looks down and blushed."hey don't worry your welcome and I'm still a virgin if that helps."

I tilt his head up. He smiles at me and bites his nutty bar. "But someone needs to show you how to fight." He chuckles and finished his nutty bar. " Mind teaching me." I nod my head and finished my protein bar. "You know if you like my house and all,you can stay in it with me, just ask your parents." I say getting down.

His eyes goes wide and he nods his head. I chuckle and wait for him to get down. We were walking down the road for a couple of minutes now,nearing the cave, and I went a different way,instead I went to a car shop about 10 minutes away.

"What are we doing here?" Luke looks around. "What do you think? We are not caring all my stuff alone." I go to a green Subaru and look inside. I go inside and look behind the counter and look for the keys.

I found 6 out of the 8 keys and go outside and click on the honk button, I look around to see what car it was. I did this until I found the Subaru keys. It was the 3rd one and I smile and unlock the car. I go back in side to grab some oil and put it in the back seat.

I look around for Luke but don't see him anywhere. I hear some moans and grunts, crap!  I run to where the noise is and see Luke trying to fight three zoms and when I said trying to I mean him cutting their arms and missing their heads.

"Aim for the head." he jumped ten feet in the air and turned around with a scared look on his face. I huff and pull my katana out and slice the heads off. "Come on get in the car."  I start the car and drive to the cave.

Now I bet your wondering how does she know how to drive a car,well my mom and dad showed me after everything went to crap. We arrive at the cave and put everything,besides the cot,in the car and head to blue borrow.

"You know they try and act like the world never went to sh*t." I look over at him and say 'I know'.We didn't talk much on the way to blue borrow. We just put my stuff in my room and he left to go ask his parents. I fed my cats and decided I would go and get a mattress and stuff tomorrow. I make some dinner and go to bed.
