Chester couldn't help but sigh as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. Atlas somehow convinced the grumpy tabby to go to a Halloween party with him and Ajax. Atlas picked out his costume for him.
"Who am I again?" He asked, turning towards the excited young gryphon. He was wearing
"His name is Link, he's from a video game I played a lot"
"Oh right, I remember him now. Legend of Zelda, right?"
"You know it?"
"Yeah, I didn't always live this isolated life ya know"
"Okay, then who am I?" He asked as he put on a blonde spiky wig.
"Uh, a newer version of link?"
"No, I'm Cloud from Final Fantasy"
"Hm, don't know him"

Chester and Atlas suddenly heard a growl from Ajax's room.
"You okay man?" Atlas called out.
"I'm not wearing this" Ajax growled.
"If I have to wear a silly costume for the boy, you do too" Chester said in an annoyed tone. He crossed his arms and started tapping his foot as they waited for their crocodilian friend to come out of his room. The door soon opened and out walked a pouting Ajax wearing a red hat, red shirt, and blue overalls
"You look great man" Atlas said with a smile.
"You picked Mario for the big guy? Why not Bowser?" Chester asked as he looked Ajax up and down.
"Ajax is too nice to be Bowser. Plus, I was able to get a red hat with an 'A' on it, for Ajax" Atlas explained.
"Can we please get this over with?" Ajax asked with a huff.

Once the trio was all ready, they headed out of their cabin and started the hike towards town. Atlas guided the way from the sky while Ajax and Chester walked through the forest.
"So, how does Atlas know these guys?" Ajax asked Chester.
"I think they went to school together? I don't know, he just said they're old friends of his. I guess he wants to prove a point to them or something" Chester replied.
"What point is he trying to make? Not like he has a real job or is in college, he's just an outlaw now. No offense boss, but it's not like you're giving him the best life"
"Shut up, I didn't ask for you two to join me. Besides, we both know he's better off with us then struggling in the streets"
"You think?"
"Remember how desperate he was to join us? I think the poor kid had no future"
Chester ended the conversation as they approached the edge of town. Ajax knew better than to push him, so he went quiet as well.

"Almost here!" Atlas called out as he swooped down to the others.
"That costume doesn't affect your wings?" Ajax asked as Atlas landed next to him.
"Nah, I made sure they wouldn't get in the way" he said, still in a good mood. He lead the boys to a large house near the center of town.
"Your friend lives here?" Chester asked, admiring the nice decorations and furniture outside.
"Yeah, and please no stealing tonight. I know it's kinda our thing, but I want tonight to go well" Atlas pleases with his boss.
"Fine, I'll try keeping my paws to myself" Chester mumbled. Atlas started smiling again as he ran up to the door.

After a few knocks, the door opened and the trio were greeted by a pegasus dressed like a knight.
"Atlas! So glad you could make it!" He said. Atlas pulled his friend in for a hug as the others stood awkwardly outside.
"Cyrus! Thanks for inviting us!" Atlas said while embracing him. Chester and Ajax gave each other glances before stepping inside with Atlas.
"Man it's been so long. Duncan and Ash can't wait to see you, come on" Cyrus said, dragging Atlas through the crowd.
"Can we go?" Ajax whispered to Chester.
"Not yet, let's try to socialize at least a little. Gotta keep the boy happy" Chester mumbled. "I'm going to get a drink"
Ajax watched his boss quickly disappear towards the kitchen. It wasn't hard to lose someone who's only three feet tall after all. He growled under his breath and stood there with his arms crossed, wishing he was anywhere else.
"Hey big boy" he suddenly heard, getting his attention. He turned to see a young iguana dressed like princess Peach smiling at him.
"H-Hello" he said, blushing nervously. The crocodile made the decision to never date again after his wife and son died, but flirting couldn't hurt, right?

While Ajax was busy making new friends, Chester was busy making himself a drink.
"Never seen you before" A black bear dressed like a cowboy said.
"Yeah? Gotta problem with that?" Chester asked, keeping his eyes on what he was doing.
"Nah man, you're cool, just saying hello is all" the bear explained. Chester noticed the bear seemed nervous after that and sighed. He was never good in social situation. The bear quietly left while Chester just stood there, sipping his drink.
