Background:
Amamiya Yukina, a young fox demon that is the heir to the noble clan, Amamiya. She and her older brother, Yukio were the children of the emperor and empress, Amamiya Reihiko and Kagura. Since young, the burden of leading the last fox-demon clan had been placed on Yukina's shoulders. However, according to the heritage line, Yukio was supposed to be the heir to the throne. Wanting to continue their family's traditions, Kagura made Yukina the soon-to-be empress of the Amamiya Clan.

Of course, Reihiko agreed with the idea. However, Yukio was not very fond of the idea of letting his beloved and precious younger sister to take on politics at such a young age but nonetheless he agreed.

As Yukina grew older, Yukio took it upon himself to be her advisor as she began to lead the clan. Proud of their son, Reihiko and Kagura made him the clan's royal advisor...

Isao Mitsuru, a young fox demon that follows his mistress till the end of time. He holds Yukina in very high regard and will always not fail to be by her side to protect her in the time of need. He's like her shadow, always hiding behind the scenes. And he secretly holds feelings for his lady that he did not wish to talk about.(Much to Yukio's dismay)

However, Yukina was not very fond of the idea that he was constantly protecting her from danger and she vows to do the same. She treats him like a younger brother and will not fail to stand up for him.(Much to Yukio's dismay)
