The Dinner Bell

Chapter 2

After dinner Alyssa decides to go outside. She didn't know what she was going to do, she just needed to get some fresh air. Alyssa runs out of the house and sits on the dirty ground. She is looking around she sees Doug in the window of his house and he points his finger at her and tells her to come. Alyssa looks back at her house and gets up she walks to Dougs house. When Alyssa reaches the house she knocks on the door but it flys open. She looks inside, Doug is in the corner rocking back and forth.
"You need to tell your mom not to use the bell. You hear me. Never use the bell again." Alyssa looked confused.
"Why?" Alyssa asks.
"There is a story that goes behind it. Do you want to hear it?" Alyssa nods. "Okay, there was a family just like yours, a mom, a dad, a girl your age, and a girl the age of you sister. Any ways the girl your age her name is Bailey, she randomly disapeared. So the main reason the bell is there is incase of emergencys. And the family rang the bell when Bailey disapeared. I went out looking for her in those woods." And he pointed to the woods just in front of their house.
"I spotted her and she thought I was some creeper so she ran faster and tripped over a rock and hit her head. She died." Alyssa's eyes widened.
"That doesent explain why you are afraid of the bell."
"I'm not afraid. Alyssa tilts her head to the side when Doug replied.
"ALYSSA!" Betty calls. Alyssa runs out of the house Betty drops her jaw. Alyssa runs and jumps in her moms arms.
"You can't use the bell, it's for emergencies only." Betty walks into the house still holding Alyssa. Alyssa tells the story to her family.
"That's it." Jim fast-walks out of the house.
"What are you going to do dad? Kamri asks.
"Neve mind." Jim screamed. As Jim approaches Doug's house, he doesn't even knock on the door. "Listen here, don't go telling Alyssa these story's, and we will use the bell for what ever the case maybe! You hear me?" Doug nods and Jim walks away back to his house. But Doug wasn't true to his nod!
