Chapter 22

Melissa's P.O.V.

I was awaken by loud voices coming from outside the room.

"Why hasn't she waken up yet?!?" A familiar voice yelled. Adrian?

"I-I-I don't know. She'll wake up soon, alpha." An unfamiliar voice replied.

"ITS BEEN TWO DAYS?!? How much longer will I have to wait for her wake up?" Adrian yelled with his alpha tone.

I can practically imagine the other guy shaking with fear.

Wait... Wait, what? Two days of what?

Their voices are just giving me a headache. I groaned trying to open my eyes, but they feel heavy.

I finally open my eyes and I quickly shit them back due to the bright lighting. I open them again and adjust to the bright light.

I look around the room and notice it's not mine. The whole room is white.

Where am I?

I'm guessing Adrian and the unknown person heard me and rushed inside.

I look at Adrian and it looks like he hasn't been taking care of himself. He had bags under his eyes and looked a bit paler than usual.

When he sees me looking at him he rushed to my side and hugs me. I'm confused.

"Baby, you're alright." He sighed in relief. He put his head in the crook of my neck and sniffed my scent.

"What happened?" I asked. My voice sounded scratchy. I need water.

It's like Adrian read my thoughts and handed me a glass of water. I chugged it and gave him the cup.

"Thanks." I smiled genuinely. He smiled back and nodded.

I heard a cough to the side and turned my head to see a guy standing there awkwardly. He look around the age of 30 with brown hair and brown eyes. He had on a white coat. Must be a doctor?

"Hello, Luna. I'm Dr. Base." He said.

"Um, hi. Please.. Call me Melissa or Mel. Why am I here?"

"Well, after alpha Adrian marked you, you passed out. He wasn't sure what happened, but you wouldn't wake up in hours also when he tried to wake you." Dr. Base started. "He got worried and brought you here, the pack hospital, he was frantic to know what was wrong, but it was like you were in some type of coma. Nothing was wrong with you which is why we had you laid down on a bed and checked on you to make sure everything's okay. It's been two days that you've been in the short coma."

If I've been out for two days.. Then that means it's Friday and tomorrow's Saturday.

If tomorrow's Saturday then that means I'm meeting the pack.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"It's four in the afternoon, Luna." The doctor replied.

I looked over to Adrian and saw him already looking at me and I blushed. I looked away and turned towards the doctor.

"So.. Everything is fine? Could I leave?"

"Yes, Luna. You'll be able to leave. I'm going to go out now. Take it easy, okay?" I nodded my head and he left the room.

Adrian grabbed my hand and stood beside me, looking down at me and smiling.

"Let's get you home."
