Jungkook pushed his hands deeper into his coat pockets, seeking warmth as the cold wind plastered against his face. He opened his mouth and a puff of smoke came out as he breathed. If only he could be exceptional. He'd always wanted to be talented, spent his entire childhood looking for something that he could say he was perfect at. People always chided him, 'You will find your passion when the time comes'. And his time did come. He discovered a place where he could be himself, could let loose and find solace: the pages in which he poured his heart out helplessly. That's when he realized what he wanted to become.
But it was never that easy. First came the struggles of convincing his family, who thought he would pick a career relating to academics just like his genius brother. Then came the pains of getting through college to improve and nurture his skills in writing. For three long years he wrote and wrote and wrote. But he wasn't tired. No, he was living his dream. And now he spends his time locked up in his apartment-that his parents had bought for him- thinking of stories that he hoped would someday become timeless classics.
He halted as a cozy-looking patisserie came into his view. "Sweet Chariot," he read the name out loud as he strode in. And his mouth watered just as the wonderful fragrances waltzed into his nose and his eyes were in for an absolute treat! The interior was very attractive with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling while stylish chairs and comfy-seeming couches adorned the wooden floor.
People emanated scents filled with happiness as they munched of the oh-so delicious looking cakes and pastries that the café had to offer and went about their business. Usually, since Jungkook's nose was so sensitive, being in crowded rooms and coming in contact with so many new scents would drain him but there was one that stood out to him. A tropical lavender scent hit him and instead of overwhelming him like the other odors, this one made his head clear of any other thoughts, as if there was nothing existed except Jungkook and that fragrance. He took a deep breath, wanting to be intoxicated in that scent forever, and curiously looked around for its source.
There, behind the counter stood a gorgeous boy, obviously an omega given his stature and sweet aroma, with plump lips and almond-shaped eyes. They met eyes then and he felt a jolt go through him, but surprisingly, he liked it. Jungkook walked slowly towards him, with an excuse already buzzing in his mind of giving his order, while he really just wanted to see the omega upfront-wondering if his features were just as pretty as they looked from afar.
"Hi, I'm Jungkook," he said with a smile. "I'm very indecisive, everything looks so appetizing. I was hoping you'd recommend me something?"
"Hello, Jungkook, my name is Jimin. Of course, I'll help you," he greeted sweetly. "Do you have any preferences? Would you like a pastry or a croissant?" he asked, gesturing towards the display cases sitting on the counter. Jungkook hadn't even looked at the desserts in front of him, he was just planning to get a nice steaming cup of coffee. He just wanted to hear Jimin's voice.
"Hm..." he pretended to think as he gazed at the glazed cakes and frothing beverages. "Were you me, what would you get?"
Jimin gave him a small smile. "I like the red velvet donuts."
"Alright, I'll take three of those. To-go."
Jimin picked up a box from the shelf behind him and carefully picked out the best-shaped donuts with a pair of tongs and placed them delicately inside the box.
"It looks so scrumptious, I'm sure my brother will never be mad at me if I give him one."
"Eomma would be very happy to hear that. She loves it when costumers compliment the food or the interior," he murmured.
Jungkook frowned. "Eomma?"
"Oh, my family owns this place. That's why I'm here today. We were short on staff so Eomma asked me to help, I don't actually work here. And the chefs use Eomma's recipe to make most of the stuff," he explained as he taped the box to secure it.
"Ah, that's amazing. I'm rather glad you're working today though," he said as he took the box from Jimin and handed him the money. 'Our hands just touched!' Jungkook squealed internally.
"Why is that?" Jimin inquired, tilting his head to the side adorably.
'Oh, my. He's cute and pretty!' he thought excitedly. 'Control yourself, Jungkook.'
"Well, if you weren't here tonight we wouldn't have met," he said with a wink. "Goodbye, Jimin," he added as he snickered to himself at Jimin's surprised face.

"Namjoon-Hyung, I love you~" Jungkook sang as he barged into the house, the box from the patisserie safe in his death grip- he wouldn't dare drop something Jimin had so delicately handed him.
Namjoon stared at him wide-eyed, his glass still raised halfway to his mouth. Jungkook thrusted the box at him and sat down beside him on the couch.
"What happened to you? Are you high or something?" he asked, pressing his palm to Jungkook's forehead.
"I'm fine. Actually, I'm more than fine!" he turned to look at Namjoon and trapped him in a bear-hug. "Thank you so much for telling me to go out of the house!"
"Can't breathe," he gasped weakly.
"Oh, sorry, Hyung. Do you want to know what was so special about my evening?"
"What?" his brother asked suspiciously.
"There's a café down the street. The owners' omega son was helping out tonight. He's very nice." A smile made its way to his face just at the thought of Jimin.
"Wow, someone's been bitten by the love bug. What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to go there everyday to type my story and to get to see him. Dear God, I've fallen. Catch me, Hyung," he said dreamily.
Namjoon feigned a laugh. "I'm such a smart son. Why did Eomma and Appa want a back-up plan?"
