" Best Friend " Aoi Akane x Fem!Reader

"Dammit.. Did she leave already?" Akane asked himself, looking for a certain [hair color] headed female who was his best friend. As he walked closer to the corner of a corridor, he heard sobbing. Confused, he turns the corner to see you, sitting by the wall, burying your face in your arms as muffled sobs were heard.
He carefully approached you and crouched next to you, tapping your shoulder gently which made you snap your head to his direction. "A-Akane-kun?!" you shrieked, surprised. "What happened?" he asked with pure concern, you wiped your tears and sniffed, your [eye color] orbs wavering as tears threatened to spill once again.
"I-It's nothing..! I just found out that my older brother had fallen in a coma from an assault, h-he was bleeding a lot a-and I thought he was going to die.." You explain through sobs. He felt his heart clench, he hated seeing you sad, let alone crying. He bit his lip and hesitantly wrapped his arms around you.
Akane wasn't sure if hugging her out of the blue was the best way to comfort, but when you relaxed in his arms, he knew it was helping. You twisted your body to face him and return the hug and sobbed in his embrace.
He rested his head on top of yours and rubbed circles on to your back, listening to your soft sobs that had started to calm slowly. Once you had calmed, he still hadn't let you go. "How about some ice cream, [Name]? I'll buy you [favorite flavor] if you want." You slightly nodded and sniffed a bit, pulling away and looking up at him with your glossy [eye color] orbs.
You gave him a small and soft smile which made his return a smile of his own. He helped you stand up and held out his hand, "Shall we?" You lightly chuckled and took his hand, walking out the school together, hand-in-hand.
