It was near the end of June, mr and mrs Loughtly were preparing a wonderful meal for their daughter who just turned 11..
"Honey come down, it's time to eat, me and your father have prepared a wonderful meal"
Mrs Loughtly said
"Coming mother!!"

Y/n was very glad to be 11, she knew that her letter to hogwarts would be coming soon... even though she didn't know a lot about magic she found hogwarts quite interesting based on the stories her parents and brothers told her before they disappeared.
The meal was wonderful, but y/n didn't receive her letter yet.. she was disappointed, she really wanted to be a student, but all of a sudden
*swish*
A owl came through the Loughtly fireplace and dropped a letter, the owl left.. y/n was in shock, she slowly came closer to the letter and picked it up and opened it... she gasped as her and her parents read it.
Dear Ms Y/n Loughtly,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September.

The room was quiet, y/n and mr and mrs Loughtly started tearing up, they're little girl wasn't so little anymore. Shes finally becoming a witch
"Oh my Merlin, such great and exciting news, we should go buy supplies at the Diagonal Alley next week"
Said Mr. Loughtly
"Great idea, are you excited darling?"
Mrs Loughtly asked
"Very much so mother"
Y/n said with a big smile on her face
(Fast forward to next week)
It was time to buy y/n supplies for her first year at Hogwarts. The first thing she wanted to do was get a wand, she went alone into Ollivanders.. there were so much wands, loads of wands.
"Hello there darling, what can I do for you this fine morning"
Greeted Mr Ollivander.
"Hello sir I am y/n Loughtly, I would like to purchase a wand please :)"
"Ah yes, a Loughtly, I haven't seen any Loughtly's in some time.. come forward please and I'll help you with choosing your wand"

Mr. Ollivander brought a few wands with him and let y/n try each one
"Ah this wand is quite a beauty, would you like to test it out?"
Mr Ollivander offered y/n the wand
"Yes please sir"
Y/n said while taking the wand
"Alright don't be shy, give it a little flick"
Y/n nodded and gave her wand a flick
*box of wands fall from shelves*
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry for making a mess"
Y/n said feeling ashamed
"Ah no worries, it looks the wand doesn't really fit you eh? Hmm how about this, your brothers had wands that were kind of like this, I'm sure it'll be perfect"
Mr Ollivander gave y/n the wand, and surprisingly the wand worked
"Oh wow, it's magnificent! Thank you mr Ollivander!"
Y/n said while giving the owner money
"No worries ms Loughtly, I wish to hear good news about you and your time at hogwarts"
Y/n waved goodbye the mr Ollivander and went back to her parents
"So how was it?"
Mrs Loughtly asked
"It was magnificent, it was like the wand was built just for me"
Y/n responded
"Alright it's time to get your books and animal"
Mr Loughtly said holding the list of supplies needed
"An animal?"
Y/n said angling her head side ways
"Yes of course, every wizard and witch needs one"
Mr Loughtly said while showing y/n the directions to Eeylops Owl Emporium, y/n was really interested in the owl species so why not get a owl?
"Umm hello?"
Y/n said opening the door to the store
"Why hello darling, what can I do for you today"
The owner said with a lovely smile
"Hi, I'm y/n Loughtly... I was wondering if I could buy a owl?"
Y/n said feeling nervous
"Ah an owl, why yes, we have many different kinds of owls here. You may choose which owl you would like"
"Okay thank you very much"
Y/n said looking for a owl that she liked
"Oh this one looks rather lovely, may I get this one please?"
Y/n said with joy
"Why of course dear, let me just get you owl ready"
"Here you are dear, have a nice day!"
"Thank you very much for the owl!!"
She quickly paid and left
Y/n went back to her parents and saw that her father had already bought the rest of her supplies
"Well cmon then, we should head home and eat lunch"
Mrs Loughtly said while holding the rest of y/n's supplies
"Okay mother"
Y/n said while following her parents

Y/n was finally back home, she went to her room and just climbed to her bed
"Hmm what should I call you?"
Y/n said while staring at her lovely owl
"Ah yes I know, I'm going to call you Atlas"
