You had met Demi at a summer camp that summer. Both of you were instructors. You had an immediate attraction towards them, but you didn't know how they felt... until this one summer night.

It was a week before summer camp was over, you thought everyone could wind down tonight and sit by the fire. You were just leaving your cabin, when Demi had stopped you mid way to the campfire.
"Hey." They smiled.
You couldn't help but smile too. You had a major crush on them. "So uh, heading to the fire?"
"Yeah, yeah. This might sound weird, but I wanted to ask if you'll come with me?" That smile never left their face.
You smiled, looking away and back, "It's not weird. I'd love to go with you." You were just about to began walking again but again, they stopped you.
"Uh, there's one more thing."
You turned around and Demi's lips were on yours. You of course kissed back, holding them close. This wasn't just any quick kiss, this was full of compassion and perhaps returned feels.
They pulled away and you asked, "What was that for?"
"An icebreaker. Now you know how I feel." And with that, demi grabbed your hand and led y'all to the campfire.
