you and james were walking to his basement . he wanted to show you his new album called "ride the lightning". he wanted to keep it a suprise so he never played any of the songs off of the album around you . not even a riff , or a hum . nothing . you could tell he was really excited to show you , he seemed very proud of this new album . you absolutely loved his first album "kill em all" , so you knew this had to be good .
"babe , i dont think this album could posibly be better than kill em all ." you said wearing a smile .
"trust me youre gonna love it."
he walks over to his record player . he carefully took the record out of the sleeve , and placed it on the record player , holding the sides of it , making sure not to touch the grooves . he put the needle on it and turned it up all the way . he walks excitingly towards you , sitting on the couch . he sits down next to you , with his arm around you .
"this ones called fight fire with fire . its our fastest song yet ! listen , listen ."
you heard this beautiful intro . it sounded so happy and peaceful . then it faded into this super heavy , and fast riff . you had never heard anything like it before . it was so new and different .
"oh my gosh , now i see what youre talking about" you said obviously suprised . you knew he was capable of writing even better music , but you were amazed .
"so you really like it so far ?"
"yes of course ! you never fail to amaze me darling ."
he took both of your hands that were so little compared to his and stood up with you . you looked up and your eyes met . you could see the adorable little twinkle in his eyes as he smiled at you . he paused for a minute .
"how about we do something fun tonight ?" he said looking down to you .
"what are you thinking ?"
"hmmm ... what about , the drive in ?" he asked .
"aw darling thats sounds great !" you said .
you ran upstairs to get ready . you were thinking between a red dress and a purple dress . you went with purple because its his favorite color . you put on some black 2 inch heels , grabed a purse , and walked into the living room .
"baby im ready !" you said to him looking at the back of his head watching the tv . he turned his head and looked over to you . he looked down at you , looking at your dress , and your makeup and hair .
"wow . you look absouletly gorgeous , princess." he said , looking into your eyes .
he walked you too the car and opened the passenger door for you . as you went to sit down , he placed his hand around your waist , helping you into the car . he got into his seat , and turned black sabbath on his casset table . we lived fairly close to the drive in , so it was a quick drive . we pulled into the theatre . we were about to watch "purple rain" the brand new prince movie that just came out that day .
"you remembered !" you said . youve been really excited to see this movie .
"i know youve been dying to see it so here you go beautiful ." he gave a you a kiss on the cheek.
you asked james "do you want me to get you anything ? im going to get popcorn ."
"yes darling , a coke please ?" he asked .
he handed you a 5$ bill and you walked to get the popcorn . after you bought it , you heard a voice say "hey girl come here !"
"no thank you ." you said , visibly uncomfortable .
"im not gonna ask you again , get over here ." he said agressively .
"hey.." you heard a deep voice say .
"she said shes not interested , so you best leave her alone ." said james .
that guy shut up after that . james grabbed your hand and took you back to the car . you both hopped in .
"i dont like it when other guys do that to you . youre my girl and he cant have you ." he said . he actually looked upset , which you hate to see . you kissed him , and it ended up lasting a few minutes .
"how about we ditch this place and finish listening to the new album ? after that we can have some fun ." you asked .
he drove you both home , and put the needle back on the record .
