Part 22: I waited... again.

"Where's Jake?"
Jiyoung hurriedly walked inside Jake's mansion after they let her in.

"He's on his room Ms. Shin.... please help us."
His assistant told her. She glanced at her as they walk on the stairs.

"What actually happened to him?"
Jiyoung asked his assistant.

"It was raining so hard yesterday and he ran on the rain because he said he's bored. Now he caught a fever. he's really childish. He doesn't even want anyone to care for him other than you Ms. Jiyoung but he don't want you to come here. He's really weird."
His assistant facepalmed.

Jiyoung stopped on her steps and realized something.

*flashback

It's pouring cats and dogs and Jiyoung doesn't have any umbrella. She's in front of a cafe near the office. She managed to ran this far while the rain is still not puring hard, now that it's too strong, She don't have any choice but to stop or else she'll be soaking wet when she got home.

Jiyoung sighed and looked at her phone...

"huh? Is that you Jiyoung?"
She heard a very familiar voice in front of her. she look at it seeing Jake holding an umbrella and looking at her with a confused look.

"Shouldn't you be on your home already?"
he asked her. Jiyoung nodded her head.

"Well, I took an overtime. chairman told me to fix the files on his laptop inside his office so yeah, I have no choice."
Jake nodded her head and looked around, seeing that she doesn't have any umbrella on her.

"Where's your umbrella...?"
Jiyoung chuckled, shaking her head for a no.

"I don't have any."
Jake chuckled too.

"Wha- Jake- What are you doing?!!! Use your umbrella!!"
She yelled at him as he close his umbrella and gave it to Jiyoung.

"My car is only on the SkyPark Group's parking lot. You can have this."

Jiyoung was hesitant to take it. Jake smiled at her warmly and took her hand, placing the umbrella on it.

"Stay safe Jiyoung..."
he said and ran towards the company building. Jiyoung trail;ed his steps until he is no longer to be seen.

*end of flashback.

"that guy..."
Jiyoung walked towards his room. she nodded to his assistant before knocking. His assistant bowed at her and left. She knocked on his door.

"Jake....?"
She called him. The door didn't opened and no one answered so she knocked again.

"Jake??"
no one is answering from the other side so she just opened it.

"Jiyoung...?"
Jake looked at her trying to regain his vision while taking deep breaths. His eyes were half closed.

"You're....sick?"
jake moved away and sat on his bed.

"obviously."
he pouted. Jiyoung shook her head and flicked his forehead. 

"aww... what was that for?!!"
he whined in pain.

"You acted like a hero yesterday but you're too vulnerable to take the consequences. tsk tsk Mr. Shim."
She shook her head once again and stood up from the bed and approached him, putting her hands on his neck to check for his temperature.
