Part 29: Office Hours and Secret Love Songs

Sunghoon walked out from the elevator the moment it stopped on the top floor and headed to his office.

"Welcome back chairman..."

"Welcome back chairman Park..."

"Welcome back Mr. Chairman..."

His employees all bowed at him. he just raised his hand and snapped his fingers to tell them to stop.

He was discharged from the hospital earlier and decided to come at the office immediately. All of the workers was shook as they thought he would take the day for a leave first.

"Meet me at my office Ms. Shin."
He said while walking towards Jiyoung's desk, not even looking at her and just casually walked towards his office room. Jiyoung nodded her head, taking the tablet from her desk and followed his tracks eventually. Jiyoung looked down.

'professionals....'
She thought to herself and walked inside his room. She saw him facing the glass door, looking at the city of Seoul from his office.

"You look beautiful today Jagiya."
His voice soften as he turned around, seeing a looking down Jiyoung. He sighed and walked towards her direction.

Jiyoung stepped back, making Sunghoon unable to see her because of the sudden movements.

Sunghoon looked around, seeing no one inside the room. he just sat on his swivel chair, confusion and frustration clearly being seen on his eyes.

"This is your schedule for today Mr. Chairman."
He spot her on his side, giving him the tablet she prepared awhile ago for him to check his schedules.

Sunghoon looked at the tablet and looked at Jiyoung once again.

*grab....*

Instead of grabbing the tablet from her hand, he pulled her towards his position by grabbing her wrist and turned her around, letting her seat on his lap. 

Jiyoung froze on her location, Unable to move and completely shocked. 

"You're making me crazy jagiya... let's stop this kind of acting, shall we?"

her heartbeat started beating fast, butterflies started to flutter on her stomach. She just looked down on his hands wrapped on her waist while his chin was resting on her shoulder.

Ms Jieun suddenly walked towards the chairman's office looking at her phone.

"Ms. Shin are you there-"

Sunghoon took the remote on the table and closed the folds on the glass window of the office the moment Jieun walked towards the room's door.

"We are in the office, Chairman..."

"So what? No one will see us. I just want to hug you... i didn't have the chance to hug you tighter the other day..."

Jiyoung sighed and looked on the ceiling. Her hands travelled on Sunghoon's, Locking them together.

"Isn't this wrong... Chairman?"
She looked down

"What is wrong?"

"This. What we are doing... This is completely wrong..."

"How is this wrong? I can't understand you-"

"you're already getting married. Aren't you lying with your fiance by doing this?"

Sunghoon's breathing hitched.

"You.... want me to marry her?"

Jiyoung cracked a bitter smile.

"It's for the best.. isn't it?"
She took his hands off from her waist and stood up, looking at him afterwards with sad eyes.

"As much as i want to be with you, I can't. I have nothing against the President's daughter."

She said and turned around, slowly walking away from him. Sunghoon stood up from his position and ran towards the door as he heard it clicked, signing him that she's leaving already.

"Shin Jiyoung."
He held her hand to stop her from going outside.

Jiyoung stopped from her tracks and refused to look at him.

"What are you saying that you have nothing against her?"
he turned her around and pushed her on the door, Locking it and locking her by placing the both of his hands on the sides of her head.

"You have my heart. You have my mind. You have my everything."
Their foreheads touched each other, Sunghoon stared at her intensely.

Jiyoung gazed back with the same intensity.

"You have me."

Sunghoon bit his lips and look at hers. Jiyoung looked at it, slowly giving in at the tension on the air between the two of them.. she closed her eyes as his face went closer..

*knock knock!*

Sunghoon was stopped as someone knocked on the door. he's only almost an inch away from her. He smiled and kissed her cheeks.

"trust me. I'll tell her to stop the wedding. After that, I'll tell them that I have you already."
he put his hands on his pocket and beamed at her sweetly.

"You can do that?"

he confidently crossed his arms in front of his chest and walked towards his seat.

"State a thing that a Park Sunghoon can't do."
He said, raising his beautiful eyebrows playfully. Jiyoung let out a soft laugh.

*knock knock!*

"I'll handle the things you are worrying about so stop thinking about it. okay?"
he said, pointing the door as loud knocks can be heard from it telling her to open it.

Jiyoung nodded her head and opened the door.

"PARK SUNGHOOOOOON"
the loud Park Jay greeted her as she opened the door. Jay looked at her and smiled brightly.

"Oh hello there Assistant Shin! Am i disturbing something... or not? The door seems to be locked and I've been knocking so many times already. Should I leave first?"
he smirked at Jiyoung. Sunghoon hissed.

"If you are only here to annoy Assistant Shin, you should have never come Mr. Park."
He said, not even lookng at him. Jiyoung chuckled. 

"yah Park Sunghoon! Why are you like that?"
Jay glanced at Jiyoung and asked her to leave. Jiyoung bowed  her head and walked outside.

"Ms Shin!! I've been searching for ages already where have you been!!??"
Jiyoung looked at Jieun as she dragged her towards her desk.

"what happened?"

"have you seen this??!!!"
Jieun showed her the instagram video of her and Sunghoon kissing. she unconsciously smiled.

"Apparently, Mr Park is already dating the president's daughter and she said that it was her! And now they are really getting married?!!!! OMO i never thought that would happen!!"

Jiyoung looked at the innocent jieun and faked a smile.

"I'm happy for them."
