Starting at the beginning of Mark of Athena

Leo slumped against the mast. His head still throbbed from hitting the deck. All around him, his beautiful new ship was in shambles. His head was fuzzy, and he had very little recollection of what he had apparently done. What he did remember, was things he could not control; simply watching his body doing things without his permission. He laughed through his tears as he realized that his was probably how both his dads felt when they were possessed. It's probably just a genetic thing. Leo realized he had spaced out, so he focused hard to try and catch up to the conversation. Annabeth was currently talking to him.

"What's the situation with the ship, Leo?" She asked.

He took a quick glance around, analyzing the damage and figuring out what materials he would need to fix the ship most efficiently. In his quick inventory, he noticed some damage to Festus. He quickly hurried to his side, examining the damage. It wasn't a large wound, but it looked like the projectile had somehow slipped between his scales and hit an interior object. Fishing around somemore, he realized that this was not a mechanical piece, but a magical one.

"Dang it," Leo muttered as he kicked a stray piece of wood before falling to the floor and hitting his head harshly on the banister.

"What's wrong now?" Percy grumbled.

"Well we could have gotten most of the materials from Salt Lake City, but they hit a magical component in Festus that we have to get fixed as well," Leo explained.

Percy tilted his head. "Well do you know where to get a new one?"

Leo sighed as he held his head in his hands. He struggled with himself for a few minutes before shakily getting to his feet and walked toward his controllers. His hands shook as he slowly put the ship into manual mode before pulling the ship in a wide circle until it pointed in the right direction. He settled down as he kept the ship slowly creeking along, making its way towards Montana.

"Uh, Leo? Where are we going?" Percy questioned, confused as ever.

Leo cleared his throat as he felt a lump beginning to form. "Home."

"Leo, you told us you never had a real home. And this ship is not going to make it all the way back to Camp Halfblood," Annabeth cut in.

"I may have, um, lied? Just a little?" Leo awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "I had one home, it was the first place I went after... Um, ya. They were actually really nice and told me I could come back whenever, but I wasn't allowed to stay. Now that I look back on it, it was because im a demigod, but at the time I thought they had just given up on me. After they made me leave, I realized that I couldn't get attached and I kept running away. They did really love me though, and they will help us."

Annabeth and Percy sat in shocked silence. They had no clue that Leo had gone through that; it was just one more thing that Leo normally hid under a thick viel of sarcasm and humor.

Leo settled down as he continued to maually drive the ship to where he knew the hidden house to be sitting. Annabeth and Percy slowly walked down to the cabins to check on Jason and catch everyone else up with the plan, and Leo was left alone. A soft, dazed smile sat on his lips as he thought of all the good memories he got at the house. He quickly lost track of time, and did not realize how much time had passed until the soft glow of a green light appeared on the horizon. Leo knew no one else could see it except him and his parents, because his dad had enchanted it that way. It was a guide to lead them home if they ever got lost.

Leo once again was swept away in his memories, until he finally was able to land the ship on the cold, Montana ground in the giant field behind the house. He noticed to figures standing on the porch, not looking as surprised as he expected them to be. Not noticing the others creeping out behind him, Leo tossed the controls down on the nearest seat, and jumped out of the ship, landing in a roll before getting up and sprinint across the lawn. His nose burned as he struggled to keep the tears from rolling down his cheeks as he lept over the short fence. Both his dads were staring at him like he was a ghost, but Leo knew deep down that they were both excited to see him. As he lept up onto the porch, he was immediatly pulled into a sandwhich hug between the only people he would ever call dad.

"We've missed you so much," His dad whispered into his hair before pressing a kiss onto this forehead.

"I can't believe you actually came back." Leo could hear the smile in his father's words, and he was too happy to worry about the end of the world.

Behind him, he heard crunching of the ground as the others from the ship caught up with him.

"Leo?" Piper asked, "Who are they?"

"Oh," Leo shifted awkardly on his feet. "This is my dad, Loki, and my father, Bucky. Dads, these are my friends."
