Chapter 18 Wonho

[I couldn't pick one so have them both hehe]

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"*sigh* Yeah, you heard that right, he's my guardian. More like a father figure," Wonho said.

I only stared at him in shock, waiting for him to continue.

"Well, it's a long story. To start off, I was...um, abandoned by my parents when I was around 6 years old. I had nowhere to go and would roam the streets in search of help. Sometimes I would find food from somewhere and wore rags. And one day, Shownu saw me struggling so he took me in. I lived with him since then but at my present time, he... died..." He trailed off.

I was shocked to hear that.

"I got this watch after that but I couldn't save him even if I did try to. I couldn't do anything. So I thought I'd spend time with him like this," Wonho looked up at me.

"I don't exist at this point of time, so I'd be able to be with him as a friend," He said.

"But if you stay here, what about your other self? You won't even be born in the future." I said.

"I know. And I'm okay with that. The present has nothing I can live for. At least here, I have Shownu... and you," He smiled.

"Plus, I made a few more friends," He said letting a small laugh out.

"*sigh* Well,... it's okay if you're happy," I said smiling at him.

"Yep," He replied.

We talked for a while, discussing our lives and how they changed in an instant. I noticed that it was getting late and Hyungwon must be worried too.

"Then, I'll be leaving," I said.

"Let me walk you home. Those people are after you, right?" He said.

"It's okay, I'll be fine," I replied.

"I don't think you should be walking alone like that. Let me come with you," He insisted.

"Okay," I said, giving in.

      Wonho and I left the cafe and started walking towards Hyungwon's house. We talked about stuff on our way back. Mostly me telling him about me so we knew each other well. I lost track of time while talking and we were already at our destination.

"We're here," I said as I stopped in front of the gate and turned to look at Wonho.

"Do you remember your way back?" I asked.

"Yeah," He answered.

"Okay then, bye," I said.

"See you," He said.

      He waved his hand at me smiling widely, looking like a bunny. I smiled and waved back before turning around and pushing the gate open. I turned and gave one last smile before closing the gate.
