Chapter Two🎀

Huda's POV

It has been a year and three Month, since Mammy past away. It still feels like yesterday, I miss my Mammy so much,things had not been the same ever since her dismay. Mama has been cruel and had been making my life a living hell.

I woke up late today, I totally forgot that I have a 10 o'clock lecture.I went to take a quick hot shower. Coming out of the bathroom, I settled myself on the mirror stool facing the mirror. I applied my body lotion, before drying my hair. I checked the time and it's ten minutes past nine. I went to open my wardrobe to check for a simple dress to wear for school today.

"Ooh my God,I don't know what to wear" I said scrutinizing my wardrobe,
finally decided to go with a straight skirt,Navy blue top,a black and white kimono,navy blue veil and a flat Vinci shoe.

"Good morning Ya Huda" I heard Maamah's voice immediately I stepped out of my room.

"Morning babes" I answered with a wide grin.

I went down stairs and saw Mama munching on her breakfast.

"Mama ina kwana; Good morning" I greeted

"Lafiya" she answered sending me a glare,I shrugged and walk to the kitchen to take my breakfast.

"Ina kwana: Good morning" Uwani(our house maid) said as I stride into the kitchen.

"Lafiya lau" I answered.

"Ina abinci na? :where is my breakfast" I asked.

"Ya kare: It's finished" she said. I was going to check the microwave before I halted.

"Ban ganebaaa: I don't understand" I uttered.

"Ni nace ah cinye: I asked them to finish it" I heard from behind and my guess should land on Mama,she's the one,I guessed right.

"Why" I asked with furrow.

"I thought you were not hungry" she said.

"Okay" I said before I went out of the kitchen and went straight to the car,.Mallam Idi was already waiting for me.

Immediately I entered, I greeted him and we drove off. We arrived to school, we stopped in front of the faculty of law.

"Shegiya seh yanzu" khady bawled as I stepped out of the car(typical Khadijah Sani Mashi). I chuckled before I ambled to meet them with a beaming face.
Fauziyya standing by the right, khady by the left and farzana standing a tread from them.

"You are late today" Farzana uttered straight away.

"Wallahi I woke up late and that useless human made them finish my breakfast" I said instantly hugging them.

"Allah ya shiryeta" farzana said as we all answered with Amin.

"Where are the rest" I asked them.

"They are all having lectures,while Hanifah hasn't come yet" Fauziyya narrated.

"Yau an hana achichi abinci, abun ba sauki" khady said and we all laughed. She being my closest friend knows me well.

"I'm very hungry wallahi, I need to eat immediately after our lecture" I said.

"Let's go before we get late, you know this man is wicked, he won't let us in" khady uttered, we left leaving Fauziyya and Farzana who are not having any lecture now.

Since my Mammy left,my friends are the only ones that make me happy. I always don't like going home, it sucks and only because of one person, which is Mama.

Khadija Sani Mashi (khady), we are studying the same course,that is law.
Fauziyya and Farzana (Twins),Fauziyya is studying physics while farzana is studying literature.
Then Fatima Kabir(Hanifah) she's studying mass communication, them Fai'xah Musa(Noorie), She's studying medicine and lastly Juwairiyya Fodio,she's also studying medicine.
