Hey Mr. Engineer,

You told me to pursue my dreams right?

We're still in our senior years in highschool when we talked about what course in college will we take and the plans we will make.

You told me you would go for engineering.

You will graduate and help your parents. You'll give shelter for those children who has no house to live on and no family to rely on.

It's nice hearing those things from you. You really cared for others. It was always your bright side.

You turned your head to me and said, "How about you? What do you want in life or dreams maybe?"

I answered you with a breaking smile, and said, "I want to be a Writer someday"

You face lightened but you saw a hint of sadness in my voice thats why your smile faded.

"Well?Why not?" You asked.

"I have the will to walk but I don't see the stairway"

That was my answer years ago, can you still remember what you told me?

"Then I will be the light in the lamp you will hold so you can see—not the stairway—but the endless road ahead of you"

So, I took Literary Arts and you took Engineering.

It was a hell of a college life.

We only see each other often times during our first year.

Life was hard for the both of us in those years.

But, it's also the happiest part, oh and yes, maybe the saddest.

Reminiscing,

Ms. Author
