So I did a DTA for a night wing named Amethyst Starlight. A contest that went until the end of September and I procrastinated all the way up til today. #Lazy
Anyway, hope you like it! Pargash_Dayington

This is the headshot from before. I went back and drew a full body as well since the contest wasn't ended yet.

I was drawing in the dark because I couldn't sleep. Using the flashlight, I sketched and colored this dragon. In the flashlight's shine, the eyes are dark blue and glittery. However, when I turned on the bedroom light and took a picture, the eyes looked more purple. My phone camera is good but not the best. I just wanted to let you know that the eyes are blue, just different in the photo.
Ok so the contest said creativity is the key but I can't really draw backgrounds so... I edited the picture and came up with a little backstory!

Amethyst was an adventurous dragon. She loves going for hikes in the woods and exploring the world. One day, she saw the most beautiful owl (yes, in broad daylight!) and followed it far away. Eventually she lost sight of it. It had been quite a while, so she decided to go home. However, she had gone so far that nothing looked familiar. After panicking a bit, she flew above the treetops to see if there was anything that she remembered. But there wasn't. Amethyst began to grow fearful. Night was approaching quite quickly, and she wouldn't be able to see in the darkness. Not only that, but she wasn't the strongest nightwing around. The was a possibility that other dragons or dangerous creatures could find her in the night. As the moon arose, Amethyst shot into our of the trees and back into the sky to make sure no dangerous ground creatures could get her. But when she did fly up, she saw the most amazing thing yet.

The night sky. It was beautiful, almost like one of her brother's old paintings. (When they were kids, her older brother would always paint and draw things for Amethyst) she took comfort in the starry blue sky and was able to fly in the direction she thought her home was. When morning came, she was landed on a mountaintop taking a breather. As she pulled her energy back, she flew over the top of the mountain. There was her home! Everything looked familiar over the mountaintop, from the woods she usually hiked in to the cave she saw to the left. Her cave. Her cozy, warm cave home that she had searched for all night. She had found her home!
After a few days, she met up with her friends and told them the story. They began to call her, not Amethyst, but Amethyst Starlight, due to the starry night she flew under to get home.

That's all I got. Hope you like it. :)
