Part 12

Peters POV
I don't know what happened and I'm Spider-man I should know everything. Wow what a self-obsessive moment.

Joe and I were playing sparring at home when I got a phone call from Natasha saying that Danielle got hurt. I knew she was going to do something idiotic! I left Joe with my Aunt and quickly swung to the Helicarrier to see what was going on.

When I walked in, Tony and a guy my age were fighting over who was going to take Dani to hospital. She could be dying there fighting over that? I took the chance and went with Nick.

We reached the hospital and they took her to the emergency room. Nick went back to the Helicarrier, because he thought things would get out of hand with Tony and that Max dude? Who was he anyway, I thought.

It had been an hour now since they took her in the emergency room. I was beginning to lose my patience in the waiting room.Luckily a doctor exited her room and came over my way.

"How is she?" I asked nervously.

"The good news is she's still alive. The bad news is she's on life-support and in a coma."

"How long will she be in a coma for?" I know it was a dumb question, but it was still safe to ask.

"Sometimes they take days, weeks, months or even years to wake up"

"What?!" I shouted which caused everyone in the hospital turned their heads to me.

Sympathy washed through out her features.
"When people are in comas they can sometimes still hear things. Would you like to speak to her?" She asked.

I nodded and walked into her room. Her arms and hands were glowing with light. The doctor shut the door on the way, I sighed.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to do this? Why didn't you let me help? Knowing you, you would say because I would worry too much. Well yeah, you're right." I chuckled. A  tear strolled down my cheek.

"But now look what has happened. You could be waking up in months or even years! Please just wake up, wake up for me. Wake up for Tony! Just open your eyes, do anything! Please!" I begged.

Tears were running down my rough face. She just layed there, not moving a muscle. I looked up back at her. She looked so peaceful, yet lifeless. She was glowing inside but, the light burnt upon her.

The moment was ruined when I heard a fast beeping sound, coming from her heart monitor. A swarm of doctors entered the room like a stampede. One of them grabbed my hand.

"Sir, you have to get out now!" He started shouting.

"What has happened? Is she ok?" I cried, as they pushed me out of the room. What happened to Danielle? I sat back down in the waiting room. I was so worried for her.

Stomping out; I went to the Helicarrier again. Angrily I  barged into the control room. Everybody had their head down and looked shaken up about Danielle. It was dead silent. I stormed up to Max and slammed him up into the wall.

"Peter put Max down!" Thor bellowed.

"He's not worth it Peter, leave him." Tony rolled his eyes. Looks like someone pissed in his cereal today..

Max's hands were glowing green, he had Doctor Doom's powers inside him. I shot webs at his hands so, he couldn't use this powers.

I violently squeezed his neck and shoved him further up the wall. He laughed at me, which caused me to tighten the grip on his neck.

"What happened to Danielle?" He began to choke.

"What did you do to her?"  I yelled at him.

Bruce pulled me back and the three of us sat down once more. I looked over to Max, to see he was rubbing the red imprint I had left on his neck. Unexpectedly I felt regretful. Imagine a scenario in which he didn't hurt Dani. I moaned at myself before confronting him.

"Look I'm sorry. I'm only irate about Danielle, how about we begin once again. My name.."

"Spider-man, AKA Peter Parker. Dani's told me about you."

"She has?" I asked in stun.

"Of course you're her best friend and obviously you've generally been there for her. Along these lines, I would understand why you would be furious." Max clarified.

"She knew I would help out or stop her , that is the reason she instructed me to watch Joe. She secured Bruce in the chamber and had tossed Johnny in the ocean. She realized that Susan would already be in the plane. Dani needed her to let us know that she was joining the V.R.A. She set us up." I told everybody.

Danielle's POV

I didn't know where I was. Everything was pitch dark. I had quite recently heard Peter and what he said made my heart wrench. I felt remorseful for not letting him know I was going. All of a sudden, I felt a shock of power race through me. It didn't hurt compared with the force of Thor's and Victor's energy. I wanted to scream, I wanted to shout. I was scared. I was terrified.
