Did you ever dislike a stranger?

The words kept turning and running around his head like an Olympic marathon. He put the spoon down and stood up from the table which earned him some stares from Marie and Denis.

Denis was still clueless but Marie noticed the change in Caleb's face.

"You barely ate!" Marie said drawing the attention of her husband to Caleb. Caleb nodded and went to his room.

"What is it?" Denis asked not following the situation. Marie looked at her husband and sighed deeply.

"Denis, I swear to go-"

"No, tell me politely, please! What is going on!?" Denis cut his wife from whatever rant that was going to rumble.

Marie held herself from doing anything to her husband. She just looked at the direction of Caleb's room and slumped back on the chair.

Caleb closed the door softly that he surprised even himself. He walked towards his bed and there on the bed stand was the picture in the frame...

Alec and him, they were smiling, hugging each other slightly. He grinned and sat down facing the picture.

It took all ounce of energy in his body not to slam that picture on the floor. He hates being reminded of the bad deed he did, it was kicking him.

But again maybe seeing Alec's face in the morning is such a good idea that he had no choice but to keep the picture.

He looked at it for the last minutes before stroking Alec's face in the picture. He smiled and put the picture down.

He threw himself on the bed and faced the ceiling, rethinking his life choices.

Now that he reminisced, he saw that all choices he ever did were revolving Caren and his future with her.

He scoffed at his naivety, how could he be so blind? Is he really a dominant Alpha? With wizard power in him? How come he couldn't tell Caren's intentions?

Are demons inside of him targeting him or protecting him?

He chuckled when he reckoned there were tears streaming down his cheeks.

"What is the point of crying now? Life must go on!" He said wiping his cheeks with the back of his hand.

He didn't go to college, why?

Because Caren didn't!

He didn't remain in Romania where he got an offer to be a Batista, why?

Because Caren was returning home!

He didn't take Alec seriously, why?

Because he saw his chances with Caren!

Why the fuck is Caren everywhere?

That did nothing but upset him more than he was. He swung his hands and knocked the picture in his stand down. The picture of him and Caren, when they were like four, six? He doesn't remember!

Why was that even still doing in his room!?

He stopped the tantrum when he discovered the real problem was himself. He laughed like a scary movie villain which sent his guardians to his room.

"Caleb..!" Marie called evidently worried. But Caleb didn't stop his horrid act. It was getting really scary. With tears coming down his eyes, and that laughter, you can only imagine how horrible that is.
