Chapter one
My name is Novalee Noel. I was born at 12:00 a.m on January 1st 1998. I was the first she wolf born of the year!! Some might have found that awesome or cool. But not in my case. You see, when I was born I was late. Some of the other werewolves thought that that was a bad omen.
As for my family...My mother and father hate me. I'm nothing but trash. All they keep me around for is to be their maid...sigh... I also have two siblings. A sister who's name is Jessica age 19 and my brother named Jake age 20. My siblings try to keep me safe from our parents. but they can't stand up to our parents without getting into trouble themselves.
"They can't treat you like that Lee lee!!!!!" My brother shouted at me.
I just sighed. "Bubba, yes they can, and they will. You and Sissy have to promise me that you won't do anything stupid! You know how close Mother and Father are to Alpha Whitecross! They grew up together for crying out loud!'
I'm hoping that they will understand. If they do anything to protect me they will be kicked out of the Pack.
yes I said"Pack" All my family are werewolves
'All of a sudden Jessica cut in. "But Lee, we love you! All we want is for you to be safe. Come on we can all run away and find a new pack!!!"
"NO! My best chance is to wait till my birthday and meet my mate! Then I can leave this house and leave our parents behind for good!" I sat there and got the brightest smile I could muster. A mate is our other halves. They are our best friend. Some one who will be there for you at all times. Most of all, they will love you no matter what!
"My birthday is in one week. I can handle all the bullshyt until then. And you still have to promise me that you won't do anything stupid. Don't act like you like or love me. If they know they will punish you or kick you out of the pack! I will NOT let you be shuned because of me!" I practically yelled at them. I felt so bad, but it needs to be done. I love them to much.
"We promise Sissy." They said together with matching frown's on their faces.
SIX DAY'S LATER
I'm in the kitchen at the Alpha's house making sure all the food for the New Year's Eve party is all finished. I'm also trying to make sure that my dress stay's clean, because I could find my mate tonight!!!
In guess I should tell you what I look like, huh. I'm 5'2 with electric blue eyes. Some find that freaky. Okay everyone besides my Brother and Sister find it freaky. Anyways, I was born with black hair that has two white streaks framing my cheeks. Another thing that makes me into a "FREAK". my waight isn't bad. I have curves. I'm not as skinny as all the other she wolves are around here. I chalk it up to me not shifting. I'm going to change tonight though. I turn eighteen in under an hour!
I see my brother and sister sneak into the kitchen.
"Happy early birthday Sissy!!!" They said in a whisper. Then they whisper words I wish they wouldn't have. "Sissy, Alpha Whitecross want's you in his office right now, we don't know what he want's, but I have a feeling that it's not good."
I feel the smile I had slip off my face. All of a sudden I was pulled into a hug. I put a fake smile on my face. I gave them one last hug, because I had a feeling that I wouldn't be seeing them again. At least for a long time anyway's.
" I'll be fine!" I told them. "I will see you soon! Just know that I love you, and I am so glad that you two are always there for me. Bye! " I felt silent tear's falling down my cheek as I walked up to the Alpha's office.
I heard a booming voice telling me I could enter. As I walked in I saw Alpha Whitecross just staring at me with desgust. "Novalee, I know you are turning eighteen in about 10 minutes! You will be finding your mate tonight. If my son happens to be your mate, you MUST eccept his rejection!" He ordered.
Why would he want to reject me? What have I done to deserve this?
The alpha must have seen the questions in my eyes.
Alpha looked into my eyes and answered "Do you honestly think my son would want a maid and disgrace as a mate, a freak as a Luna to help lead his pack.? Your birth was a mistake! Take a look in the mirror little girl. Do you honestly think anyone could love you, with the way you look?" After he let those words slip out of his mouth he smiled as he saw my tears once again spill out of my eyes.
'NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT. And you best remember what I said."
"Yes Alpha Whitecross" I didn't remember what time it was as I ran out of the croweded room. just as I was about to open up the front door I felt sparks as someone turned me around to face them.
I found my love, my mate
