Semi-canon, 470 words.
Based on the original song from the series; Heat Haze Days
Covering his mouth; not letting a scream be muttered out, refusing to state any words under his breath as her scent was now mingled with splattered blood choked him. Brown orbs looking at her corpse, laying in her carmine liquid as glass shards from the truck that had hit her pierced her petite body.
The streets and signs were painted with crimson but it was nothing like a work of art; rather a terrorizing scene as if suddenly gone into a world of horrors. "This is a dream... a dream.." Breathing heavily as he'd glance away, turning his back on her corpse only to be met by a boy's glaring red eyes, whom looked exactly like him, "This is all real." Stating with a malicious smirk upon his face, one that sent shivers down the other's spine as he started to run out of surprise.
Without you, the light blue of summer darkened, just like that.

Tick, tock, tick, tock.
Waking up to the sound of the ticking clock, staring at the vast blue skies before checking on the time; confusion filled his mind as the phone flashed the current date and time; exactly like the one he had in his dream. Putting an arm above his head, covering the seeping ray of morning sunlight hitting his face before sighing and getting ready to head out to the park he'd have his dream once more.
Staring at the girl sitting beside him as she stared at the same black cat from before, an uneasiness given by the eyes of the creature. "Why don't we go home for today?" He'd ask and take her hand, crossing the street only to be met by another dead end; where she smiled slightly.
"Why does this always happen to you?"
-
"This is the real thing."
I'm tired of hearing this over and over, the screams, the splatters, envisioning past deaths and this cycle that goes on over and over.
Every time we'd run, fate would always find a way to make you meet your demise with a smile on your face as you utter words that I cannot hear because you're too far away to reach.
-
"I don't want to hear it anymore, her agony." Stating to himself as countless times had him black out and repeat history, seeing her die, away from his grasp. Life has destined them to be separated for a lot of years, in an endless loop of demise that he'd realize.
Staring at the girl once more, she who followed and run towards the black cat who ran away from her; taking her place instead, tossing her aside as he himself was now the one to die, a smile on his face as it finally ended.
-
"I failed this time too." Tears flowing from her eyes, she'd state as she pet a cat.
