payton and i were in hollywood, we have been for the past week, and he was out with dylan at the studio with dylan making more music. i was standing at the railing outback and watching the beautiful town below me, the lights were somewhat shining in the bright sunlight.

the sun went down slow, but i watched every second of it. the sky was beautiful, perfect. suddenly i felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind and light kisses on my shoulder. payton never got done this early so i turned around swiftly. a small smile appeared on my face as i saw payton standing there, relaxed.

"hi." he spoke softly and looked behind me at the view.

"how come you're home so early?" i asked and placed my hands on his chest.

"i wanted to spend some time with you," he grabs a strand of my hair and twists it, "i feel like since we got here i haven't been with you much and i didn't want you to get upset."

" i wouldn't be upset, i'm so proud and happy for you that you're in hollywood with all of these big producers and doing what you've dreamed of for years. i don't want to be the reason you're not doing that."

"you could never get in the way." he smiles. "come here." he brings us to the chair a bit away from the railing and sits down, bringing me on his lap. his hands wrap around my torso and he lays his head on my shoulder. i lay my back on his chest and put my head in between his neck. he shifts around a bit.

"i'm sorry, am i too heavy?" i ask shyly and start to get up just to be pulled back down.

"why would you think that?" i shrug. he points to the sky, "you see the sky? how beautiful it is?" i nod and he looks at me, taking in each detail of my face. "you look like it, it's glowing, you're glowing. just one thing," he comes closer to my ear and whispers, "you are so much more beautiful to me." i felt a small blush creep across my face and i play with my bracelets. "do i make you nervous?" he smiles a bit.

"yeah.." i whisper.

"you need to stop giving me butterflies y/n, it's too much," i look back at him, "i don't deserve you."

"you deserve someone better than me payton."

"stop the shit, we're perfect together," he grabs my hand, "look how perfectly my hand fits in yours." he squeezes it slightly. "and look how perfectly our lips move together." what?! we never kissed before. he slowly leans in and i turn around so i'm straddling him. he cups my face and brings his lips to mine.

he was right, our lips did move perfectly together. he slid his tongue across my lip for access into my mouth and i open it and let him in. our tongues danced together under the bright lights of the beautiful city.

he slowly pulls away with his eyes still closed and he smiles.

"you taste like vanilla, i can't," he kisses me, "get enough," he kisses my lips again, "of it." he gives me one last kiss and hugs me. "i love you, y/n."

"i love you too, so much."
