𝓘- lay in my Rachel's small bed, staring at the ceiling. Her bedside lamp bathing the room in hues of oranges and yellows.
I look over to my small cousin, she was curled into my side and her nose would whistle every now and then. I was tired but I didn't feel like sleeping, so I decided I would call my mom when I went up to my bedroom.
I had been laying in bed with her for almost an hour, reading and playing games with her before she fell asleep.
I didn't plan on spending the night in the room, since the bed was so small and I knew from experience that Rachel was a bed hog.
I stood up, tucking the blanket around the little girl and turned off the lamp before walking out of the room into the kitchen, where my aunt, Verity, sat on the couch with a glass of red wine.
