Ethan's POV
I shut the front door of my house as I watched my ex girlfriend drive away. I felt like I was going to start sobbing, so I went for a walk to calm myself down like I always do. It was raining slightly, enough to have the sidewalks all wet.
My Girlfriend, well Ex girlfriend now, cheated on me. It hurt to find out, but I'm hoping I can get on with my life. I started tearing up at the thought of my Ex. My heart aches, it hurts to much, it's filled with sadness and pain, a lot of confusion. I felt my phone ringing in my pocket and took it out to see it was Mark.
Mark is one of my closest friends, he's been there for me, he's caring, and he is like a brother to me, I know I can trust him with my problems. "H-Hello?" I asked, trying to mask my hurt. "Ethan? Are you okay buddy?" Mark asked, worry in his voice.
"Yeah- Yeah, why do you asked?" I asked back, putting my other hand in my hoodie pocket. "Ethan, you sound sad, what happened, I know when your lying to me." He said gently, "Mika and I... W-We broke up.(Just for storylines)" I said, choking back a sob.
"Oh man, Ethan, I'm so sorry. Do you want Amy and I to come over?" He asked back, I looked down at the sidewalk as I walked. "No, I think I should just be alone right now, I'm on a walk anyway." I said, pushing my glasses up my nose. "Hey, hang in there, alright? I'll check up on you tomorrow." He said back.
I hummed, not looking forward to seeing people right now. "Get some sleep Eef." Mark said, "You too." I said quietly. Before he could say anything else I hung up, and put my phone back into my pocket. I took in a shakey breath, looking up to the sky.
I let a few tears fall from my eyes, and roll down my cheeks. I sat down on a bench and took off my glasses. What did I do wrong, did I not pay her enough attention. Is that how I hurt her, it's my fault, if I wasn't all over the place, maybe she'd still be here.
I let out a sigh and stood up, putting my glasses back on, continuing my walk. I wasn't watching where I was going and I ran into someone. "O-Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." I said bending down to who I ran into.
She looked up at me and I noticed tear trails down her cheeks. "Oh god are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked trying to figure out if I hurt her. She had a big purple bruise, it looked like it was turning black, the bruise she had was right on her left eye, she had big circle glasses on.
She tried to speak but was cut off by someone yelling. "CASSANDRA! GET YOUR FUCKING ASS BACK HERE!" I looked behind and saw a man yelling at who I assume to be Cassandra. "P-Please." She cried, obviously scared of him. "Did he hurt you?" I asked quickly. She nodded, her hands gripped my hoodie on my shoulders, my hands were holding the lower part of her shoulder blades.
Her breathing was quick and rapid, she looked like she was going to cry more. "Here, come on, I'm going to pick you up." I said, slipping my arm under her legs, holding her up by her back. She wrapped her arms around my shoulders as I walked fastly back to my house. "CASSANDRA!" He yelled, she wasn't heavy at all, at that is eaither I'm strong, or very worrisome.
When we got back to my house, I set her down gently, she held onto my arm desperately. I opened the door and pulled her in gently but fast. I shut the door and locked it, letting out a sigh of relief. I heard her quiet sobs as she held onto my arm to afraid to let go.
"It's okay, he can't hurt you." I said gently, taking her hand from my clothes, holding her hand softly. She just froze, not being able to say anything as she cried. "Come on, come with me." I said, taking her other hand and walking her to my big section couch.
