"Morning," I hear Theo say with a husky morning voice. I'm resting my head on his chest as we lay in my bed holding each other, he shifts to hold me closer as I feel the warmth radiating around us. He picks up his phone and looks to see a text from his mom.

"My mom has to return to Stone View to finalize a few things with our old house and then she has to go to White Falls for a three-day professor's summit. She was a University Professor at the University of Ontario, but asked if she could have a recommendation put in for her at the University of Alberta." He says as he places his phone back on the bedside table.

"At least she isn't a high school teacher at J. Williams, like my mom is." I say as I laugh.

"We have to go to my place to unpack some boxes and get the kitchen set up though, would you help me, please?" He asks, smiling at me. I give him a jokingly shake to say no, he laughs and slaps my chest.

"Of course I can lend a hand!" I reply. We lay there for about another hour watching Netflix before we go take a shower and get ready to head on out to his house. It's a short walk to his place, about 15-20 mins, but we fill the time with chit chat. He's telling me about how his parents got divorced a few years ago and how it's been going for them.

"My mom requested the transfer to Edmonton because my father wouldn't stop harassing her about me and blaming her because I don't talk to him. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it here, but mom told me it's always hard starting out somewhere new." Theo explains as he continues on. He told me of his best friend, Renee, in Ontario. How the two of them were inseparable, and about how they would get into some trouble, but always had a blast doing it together. His mom thought the two of them would end up together, but Renee died in a freak car accident around 7 months ago. Theo lost his best friend and the person that knew the most about him.

"Renee always knew I was gay before I told her, I was suprised and curious how she knew, but she always said I had a tell and then one day she was just...gone. I remember her mom telling me the night it happened and I didn't want to believe it but deep down I knew she was telling the truth. I had run off on my own, to a spot we had and cried. You would've loved her. She was sweet, funny and caring." He continues. I stop and give him a long and meaningful hug, squeezing him lightly.

"That must've been hard." I whispered in his ear. He was now almost fully in tears and I just stood there hugging him until he was ready to keep moving. We started walking again a few minutes later and continued talking.

"I had told my mom I was gay 5 months ago and she accepted me immediatly, said it didn't change anything and that she always knew that I was different from the other kids. When I questioned her about it, she said it was a mother's intuition to know." Theo says as we walk up to his house. It's a brick house on the corner, larger than I was expecting, but it was nice and they got a good deal for it too, Theo had told me. We go to head in when my phone starts buzzing in my pocket, pulling it out I look at Theo.

"I'll be right in." I say as I answer my phone.

"Hi mom." I say.

"How are you?" I ask.

"Good," She replies. She sounds a little upset, but I pay no mind to it.

"Where are you?" She asks. I look around at the tree in Theo's front lawn and how much shade it gives off.

"I'm out helping Theo unpack boxes at his place, We'll be home later." I reply.

"Okay, see you later." She says as I hang up and as I'm about to walk in, Tané texts me asking if I want to hang out. I tell him I'm busy, but he should come spend a couple nights at my place and meet Theo, he's really chill and will be attending school with us at J. Williams. He replies back quickly with sure, I'd love too. Finally I walk in to hear some music playing from a speaker in the living room and all you can hear is Without Me by Halsey(ILLENIUM Remix).
