I know it's the lyrics to a song, not to forget, an amazing song! I somewhere read the meaning and instantly thought of sharing it here. It was so amazing. These lines say that we often end up asking God for more time to live or maybe relive our youth days because somehow we wasted it or it wasn't enough. But it's hunting season (reaping season i.e. the reaper is here to collect our souls as we lie on our death beds) and the lambs (we) are trying to escape it. And I think that yeah we are all lost in someway, trying to find out the purpose of us and our lives.
