According to the 6th Episode of the 7th Season of Monk, the above lines are translated from a Zermenian song. Since Zermenia doesn't exist, I am not sure where the song actually comes from.

I fell in love with it the moment I heard it. Such beauty and elegance in those words. And I totally agree with them. To me it means that when you lose someone you're truly in love with, they are still with you. The part of them that you truly loved and cherished will always be a part of you and you cannot get over it. So even though you're terribly heartbroken, your story goes on forever...
