Don't be confused a bit, I'll be handling several characters but eventually they'll all be contributing toward a common goal.
Oliver Parker POV
summer 2020,
"I think this one is the best,"I mentally say as I place another manuscript into my collections shelf.
I yawn as I walk out of my room.
I spend many hours in my room trying to write poems, dramas, comedy, tragedy and novels.
I know I will be able to publish them someday.I support myself with the banister and tuck in some strands of laces in my right shoe.
I take two steps at a time and soon I'm at the foot of the stairs.
As I pass the table at the living,I take an apple from the bowl placed on it.
I take a bite of the fruit as I walk to the fridge.
I need something more juicy.
I'm thirsty.
So when I open the white door of the high rectangular box, I grab a soda with water droplets condensed on it.
I open it's cork upon the table and I chug down the soda.
Only until the bottle is empty that I bang it on the mahogany table.
I'm frightened when I look around and see Emma seated at a grey couch with her nose dug in her pink iPhone.
She's wearing a pink tank top, pink khakis trouser and a pair pink converses. Her pink hair is clamped together on a pink peg.
She likes everything pink and that's why I call her pinky.
I check my wrist watch and it's thirteen minutes past nine a.m.
I frown.
What the heck is she still doing here.
She should be at her cosmetics shop.I clear my throat to capture her attention but she doesn't raise her head a bit.
She just smile mildly before she snaps,"happy birthday Ol "
Oh really. She got me off guard.
I must be so much caught up nowadays.
Who does not see his birthday coming? She meet my eyes and I'm rubbing the back of my head.
"Oh I didn't even have the slightest idea about it,"I say honestly.
"Yes,because you've been writing too much things,"she says
It's true.
"Don't worry, I've planned everything,"
What is she talking about?
I look at her who is now standing.
"Don't you think it's good to have a party tonight?" says her
"A party?"I huskily asks.
"Em, we can't afford to party. Our Dad is in a comma ..we ought to grieve around," I continue.
My father has been in a comma and we visit him in shifts. Today it was mom's.
"Yeah...I know but still it won't be too bad to party...it's your birthday..."
She can be so convincing.
We have been sad about dad for too long. I don't remember when I last had a good time.
I hope mom won't be upset about us holding a party when dad is still fighting for his life in the hospital.
I'm about to argue again against the party when she says,
"Hannah will be coming,"Hannah? Why did she have to invite her?
"You can't do this pinky, you know we broke up,"
"Foolish, everybody knows you got unfinished business."
Hell yeah I miss her so much but I'm not sure she feels the same anymore.
"She asked if she'd come,"
Wow. So she can really handle seeing me around.
I almost regret breaking her heart.
No. I will never take that charge.
I would rather agree I was involved in the break up thing.
She broke my heart and had the nerve to say that I broke hers.
It's just amazing how I still love her with all the broken pieces.
"Okay cool,"
"That's my boy," snaps Pinky like she's my mom.
My sister can be so good when she want to.
Mostly, she's boring and always busy with her own things. She's kind of insensitive which also makes me to never care about her whereabouts although I try.We bump our shoulders and point index fingers to each other as we chuckle.
We're both exited about the party .
