Ashley's POV

I looked around the room with my hand on my head. What happened?

I pushed the blanket that was on top of me off onto the ground. I slowly got up, keeping a hold of my bed  just in case I lost my balance. I heard footsteps coming from the hallway. I looked around trying to find somewhere to hide or something. "The closet!" I thought to myself. I started to tiptoe to the end of the bed and toward the closet.

Right when I let go of the bed I lost my balance. I fell just as the door opened and I heard a familiar voice yelling my name. I looked over at the door. I saw a familiar boy rushing toward me but some kind of blackness was behind him. It looked like a woman. Her black long hair streaming down past her face. She had a long dress on covered in fresh blood stains. 'My dream, there was blood! It cant be-".Before I could finish my thought, I instinctively started scooting away towards the closet with my eyes staring at the black figure.

"Ashley, It's okay. I'm here for you." The boy said. All I could think about was the dark figure and all I had seen in my dream. I started to notice the black figure getting closer and closer. I began to scream, thinking it would help.

"Get away!! No! Stay away!" I yelled at the black figure. The boy only backed away staring at me with bewilderment in his eyes. "Get out!" I kept screaming at the black figure behind the boy. I kept scooting until slipped on something.Just then I felt something warm running down my arm. I looked over to see blood running down my arm onto the floor, but I couldn't feel any pain. I only looked up at the black figure that was almost next to the boy now.  I started screaming louder, hoping it would help. Finally I couldn't scream anymore. Even if I tried to scream, nothing came out. I laid my head down on the floor, waiting for the pain to come. Something wrapped its arms around me and pulled my back up off the ground. Then I felt a warm embrace. "Who?" I asked myself as I opened one eye.

"Ashley, please. You're okay. I promise. I'm not going to let anything else bad to happen to you. Okay? I promise. Just calm down." I heard a husky voice say.It was that boy. I couldn't help but melt down into the embrace. I felt safe, and quiet frankly I wasn't feeling safe at all at that moment. I closed my eyes for what seemed like only seconds. I pushed him away at the chest slowly to try and sneak a peak at the door. Jake looked at me and I saw worry in his eyes. The black figure was gone! I looked down at my arm and there was no blood. There was no sign of blood at all!

"I-I'm sorry." I said shyly. I like this guy, did I seriously just do that? He must think I'm a complete psycho! "If you want to leave I completely-" I started but then got cut off.

"No! I'm not leaving you! I know most guys would be running off right now but, I am attracted to you. Like really attracted to you. I want to know why I am. So I'm not going to." Jake said softly. I nodded as he embraced me again. "It's okay." He said while rubbing circles in my back. Wait, how did he know that calms me down? This makes no sense. He's never seen me like this!

I heard something that sounded like a vehicle pull up. "Oh shit, my mom." I said to Jake. "Hurry you need to go out the back." I said pushing him away and standing up. "Hurry" I said pulling his hand behind me as I walked to the back glass slide door.

"Will you be okay?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm sorry but just leave. If my mom sees you here she's going to think we were-" I started but then I got cut off by a kiss. Jake put his hands on my chin and pulled me in. He lightly brushed his lips against mine. It was amazing. I couldn't help to do anything but shut my eyes and enjoy this sensation. Just then I heard the front door unlock, which brought me out of it. I pulled away "Hurry! I'll text you tomorrow." I said, trying to make him leave faster.

"Okay, okay. Goodnight. Text me if you need anything." Jake said as I pushed him out the door.

As I started to tiptoe to my room I heard my mom's voice calling my name "Ashley! Where are you?" I finally answered once I got back up to my room.

"In my room mom." I said, trying not to sound scared.

"Okay, well I'm going to bed. Goodnight." She yelled back to me from downstairs.

After that I didn't respond, I just wanted to sleep. My head was killing me. I finally settled down and fell asleep. It was peaceful for once, but little did I know, that would change.
