rejection (errorberry) (error x blueberry)

chapter 7

as dream and ink appeared in dreamtale, ink sighed and his knees grew weak and he sat against the remains of the tree. 

"ink...are you okay?" dream asks and ink looks away. 

he was ashamed of how he acted towards blue. 

dream frowned and sat next to him "ink please...answer me..." he begged and ink felt his 'eyes' water.

 he hesitantly looked at dream and dream hugged him. 

"i know you liked error but...i think it's about time you moved on..." dream said and ink sniffled then started to sob

 "i'm such an jerk dream!! he's pregnant and i could've hurt him!! i didn't know what i was doing!! i'm so sorry!!" ink yelled as he cried.

 "w-we're supposed to be trying to get blue back but i'm just making things worse!!" ink sobbed and dream shushed him 

"ink...shhh we'll get him back...maybe you should let me try to talk to him.." dream suggested and ink nodded

 "o-okay.."

"b..but what should i do about getting over error...?" ink asks and dream blushes

 "well...theres still someone i know who likes you..." dream says and ink looks up at him. 

"r-really?...who?" ink asks and dream points to himself and ink's eyes go wide

 "y-you?! you like me like that?" ink asks and dream nods 

"y-yeah...i've had a crush on you for a while..." dream mumbled and ink smiles

 "well then...do...do you wanna...go out or something?" ink asks and dream smiles

 "yeah.. i would like that.."

blue sat in front of the destroyed house. 

he felt nothing. 

even after the interaction with ink. he felt... blank.

 it had been a while since error had came back.

 there was that presence that blue felt. 

it was the same one that he felt at outertale 

"hey" a voice called from behind him. 

blue looked behind him and saw what looked to be error. 

"oh my. what happened to the house?" he asked

'oh my?...that doesn't sound like something error usually says' blue thought to himself.

error frowned "whats wrong hun?" he asked and blue stood up. 

he started to believe it was error now but still had his questions.

"nothing just...what are we going to do about the house?" blue asked

"we should probably head to another au to stay at for now." error said with a small smile

"alright" blue responded

error summoned a portal and they both went through it. 

the portal closed and when it did another opened 

"time to go talk...with.....blue..." error said as he looked up at the destroyed house

"oh no..." he said in panic and ran into the house. 

he searched everywhere he could and screamed blueberry's name, hoping for a response that his lover was ok. 

but there was no response. 

there was no sight of him being there either. 

he hoped- no begged, that blue was alright

out of anger error went to the first person he could think of who could've done this. 

"ink.."

he snapped his fingers and opened a portal then walked through it. 

he went to several different aus till he found them in dreamtale.

 he growled and tied them in his strings 

"WHERE IS HE?" he yelled and ink and dream looked at him in confusion 

"ngh are you talking about blue?" dream asked as the string tightly wrapped around both him and ink. 

"WHO ELSE WOULD I BE TALKING ABOUT?!" error growled and ink glared

 "the last time we saw him, he was sitting in front of our  house that I destroyed!!!" ink yelled and error glared back. 

"well he's. not. there." he grumbled and dream looked a little worried 

"hes not? but he should be! oh no..what if someone took him after we left ink?" dream suggested as he looked over at ink and ink shrugged. "we need to go find him then!!" ink said and error narrowed his eyes but decided to let them go. "so you two really don't have him?" he asks 

"we really don't error. but we're willing to help you find him!" ink said with a smile on his face. 

"lets go find our missing friend!!" dream called out and error groaned 

"ugh this is gonna be hell. it better be worth it..." he mumbled

blue looked around at the empty snowdin. he had no idea where he was but error seemed to know where he was going. they walked to a house that was similar to blue's house back in his au. 

"lets get inside" error said and walked inside the house. it smelled of vanilla and was nice. all the lights were off and blue could hardly see a thing as the door closed. blue didn't really like the dark so he grabbed the closest thing to him

"o-ow..why is it so sharp.." blue muttered as he touched something sharp enough to rip through his gloves.

the lights turned on and it revealed that he was touching the mouth of a fox like animal with rows of sharp teeth.

 blue jerked and backed away.

 he quickly moved over to error and error smiled at him "e-error whats going on?!" 

as soon as that was said error's body started to melt into a different creature. 

blue felt his body tremble as error turned into another one of those foxes. 

"sorry hun. we're not quite sure who 'error' is but we're rather...hungryyy" they taunted as their mouths dripped with drool. 

"l-leave me alone!!" blue cried and the foxes crept closer

was this how blue was going to die..?
