IN THE DARK.

PROLOGUE

When Mia lost her mother at 8 years of age she thought she did something wrong so God took the most precious thing in her life as a punishment and he will return her mother when her punishment is over.

"Tua madre non tornerà mai piu, Mia." She heard her nanny say one day and those words really confused her. Where was mamma ?

"Ma la mamma ha detto che sarà sempre con me."
(But mamma said she will always be with me." She innocently whispered.

She always remembered the words that her father used to tell her mother.

"If i'm an instrument, you're the music. You're my other half. You complete me in every way."

She didn't know what those words meant back then. But they sounded like a promise. Maybe the promise of forever ?

But on her 9th birthday when she saw her father with a woman that looked nothing like her mamma she realised that the words meant absolutely nothing.
They were a lie.

But didn't her father love her mamma ?

Why was he with someone else then ?

"Your whore of a mother stole my first love from me. My happiness, my peace, my life. Everything. Now i'll make sure you have no course of happiness in your ugly life, you bastard." Alessa the woman that her father married just 6 months after her mamma went away said. She gripped Mia's hair making her cry.

There was no one to save her.

Alessa was supposed to be her father Antonio's wife through a business proposal until he fell in love with her mamma, Claudia. Alessa was from a high class wealthy mafia family just like Antonio but her mother was the only child of a normal vine seller father and a florist mother.

She saw her father living a happy life with the woman that ruined her childhood for 2 years until she turned 10 and she heard whispers in the mansion that her father was no more.

She cried for a whole month, why did everyone she loved left just like that ?

The only person she had left in the world was her Nonno, her mamma's mother. She lived in the countryside of a small Italian town that Mia didn't remember the name of.

She often wondered how was her nonno and if she will ever see her again.

Her hopes crushed when one cruel morning, People took her to a long plan ride and she found out she wasn't in Italy anymore.

She screamed and cried to go back home but nothing was of use.

"There is no home for bastards like you." Alessa chuckled as she looked at the pale little girl who was tied in a chair without starved or any food for the past 24 hours.

Mia lost every everything in her life. Her parents, home back in Italy, her entire life. But one thing that she didn't lose was her Hope. Hope that one day she will get her reward for patience. That maybe, just maybe something good will come to her.

And it did, she fell in love. Oh God did she fall in love.

But she fell in love with someone who had no intentions of loving her back.

She fell in love with Someone who just used her for his pleasure when they were in DARK.

She looked for love in all the wrong places.
