in this Minecraft video we coded it so I have a shitty upload schedule, anyway only a small percentage of you are actually following me-
(I wrote that back in November, anyway hello 2021)

Celeste grinned and spoke into her airpod. Her voice didn't echo like in movies, it didn't come out smooth and clear like in books, instead it tumbled out, rough and the edges of letters catching with the air sound. "To every person here today, I'd like to say thanks. I was nominated for this whole ordeal like yesterday so this speech is gonna be shit so listen closely and get your playlists ready." She coughed and grinned.

"Chances are, you're leftist, but if not, we're gonna throw that aside for a moment. You know you're here to save a kid, beaten by his father, trapped and locked away from society."
She kept speaking and I realised I had a golden chance. The police were focusing on the group. I was very unnoticeable.

"We're gonna fuck shit up and save the child!" She continued, and the people roared in response. I heard normal wooping, I heard people shouting to subscribe to their favorite YouTuber, I heard people shouting in different languages, I heard "POG CHAMP", I heard "BE GAY DO CRIME"... I heard a lot. As I slipped through the gradually more energised people, I started recognising faces.

I think I'd seen that YouTuber before.
Wasn't she in a movie?
Oh shit, I think I know them.
Oh, he was a Florida man.
What the fuck is that Eret-

I lost sight of each face the moment I saw it.
I ran behind a Miku cosplayer and spun to the left of someone in a fursuit, then darted behind a pair of egirls. I hid behind a decorative shrub as a cop passed by, holding a gun but not firing yet. I hissed "acab" Under my breath as I darted around the side of the White House, heading for the pool.

Celeste's voice got quieter as I ran for the back of the building. I was about to get to the edge of the building when I realised Celeste had stopped talking.

I clapped my hands over my ears as sixty different beats dropped and the crowd roared. I caught glimpses of other people in the corner of my eye and took off at a full sprint. I cleared the edge of the building, turned left and ran to the window with color changing lights. I scooped decoration gravel off the ground as I skirted along the thin concrete that separated the house from the 18 foot deep pool.

I lobbed the pebbles at the window and heard four resounding thunks. The rest of the people ran around the side of the building as I ripped a ziploc bag open with my teeth.

I watched one person fall in the pool as I crammed my phone and wallet in the bag and seal it shut, then shove it in my drawstring bag. I prayed to any gods that I would be fine as the window cracked open.

And then there was a face peeking out.
And there was a boy, looking down, and grinning.
And he called down to me,
"Y/N?"
Right as someone slammed into my side. I fell into the pool as the massive crowd joined me. From under the water I heard someone shout,
"Just jump!"
I pried my eyes open because fuck whether it'll sting, I need to see.

And a 6 foot tall 14 year old boy landed feet first in the water, sinking below me.
Time seemed to slow down as I swam deeper to hoist up that soggy mess. My clothes billowed dramatically around me and my eyes burned.

I could hear people shouting above me as my lungs started to hurt, but then my hand made contact with a wet hoodie sleeve.
And the boy wearing it.
And I grinned like a crazy person.

Barron's eyes were shut against the water as he swam to the surface and when my head hit the air I don't think I'd ever felt more relieved.

People were screaming, shouting "Where'd he go?" And panicking. I treaded water as Barron blinked his eyes open and looked at me.

And soaking wet, makeup blurred, and grinning widely, I wrapped my arms around the boy who'd been there for me more than my own damn parents.

And I laughed, laughed at the world and at the dumbasses who thought this revolution would fall through, because we had the kid and all that was left was to run as far as we damn could.

And for that moment, knowing we had the hard part over, the months of waiting were done, all was peace.

Then I remembered I got to say something for my first words to him in real life.

"You're as tall as fucking Shrek."
