PART 1:

Ok let's jump right into it!

This book is a paid story so if you're not willing to pay for anything I suggest you don't open the book. I made the mistake of not finding out if it was paid or not, only to finish read the unlocked chapters and figure out that I had to pay for the rest. So now I am unsatisfied and sad because the first paranormal book that I actually took interest in is out of my reach.

The plot. From what I've gathered, Rayne, the protagonist of the story, is an orphan. She was taken in by the Alpha Wilson, who is the Alpha of the Jade Moon pack. Alpha Wilson is the father of Bridegette and Alec. Alec is a childhood friend of Rayne but distanced himself from Rayne when his sister became jealous. Bridgette is your typical spoilt plastic bitch who looks for attention anywhere she goes; she's basically the clichè mean cheerleader.

Rayne is abused sexually and physically by Alpha Wilson, who as an alpha, is supposed to protect his pack rather than hurt it. He forces Rayne to go to The Mate Ball since he wants to get rid of her. Rayne wants the exact same thing, however, she thinks she doesn't need to go to the Mating Ball to leave. While Alpha Wilson wants Rayne to mate, Rayne wants the opposite, she wants to stay single and run away. She wants to become a lone wolf. So Rayne goes to the ball and waits for the perfect time to escape.

Now this is where things get mildly interesting. Sebastian and his twin sister, Arianna, have decided to attend this year's ball. Arianna is single whereas Sebastian has a... Gia, her name is Gia. I don't even know what to call her. I don't know how to describe her except power-hungry and rude; bitchy. She and Sebastian are in a 'relationship' but others have claimed that she has tried to seduce them and Sebastian being the jack (ass) he is didn't believe them. All the elders dislike her and disapprove of their relationship so they make it understood to Sebastian that she would not be able to fill to position of the pack's luna. Sebastian promises Gia that if he finds his mate he would reject her and stay with Gia. Of course this would all be after he impregnates his mate and makes her luna to the pack. Sebastian doesn't want a mate because he believes himself to be happy with Gia so when he smells his mate's not only calming scent but also her bloody one his wolf takes over to find and protect her, leaving Gia in a post-sex state to catch up.

Arianna abhors Gia and hopes that her brother can find a mate whom he will settle down with. She bumps into Rayne and after talking with her for a little bit she thinks that Rayne would be a perfect match for Sebastian. When Alpha Wilson approaches, Arianna squeezes Rayne's hand and leaves her. Alpha Wilson takes this as a sign that Rayne has blabbed about his wrongdoings. He drags her out of the room and to a secluded area where he slaps her multiple times. This is when Sebastian intervenes and leaves his mistress to save his unwanted mate. Gia knows what is taking place as soon as she sees Sebastian's eyes and follows him after pulling down her skirt. She kicks a confused Rayne a few times before Arianna arrives and punches her in the face, knocking her out. Sebastian doesn't know what his mistress has done to his mate and quite frankly I don't think he would have cared if he did.

After taking care of the females, Sebastian talks to Alec, who has been training so that he could duel his father in order to take control of the pack.

This is the part where I wanted to scream bloody murder at top of my lungs while standing on my roof. When Rayne awakes Sebastian basically tells her that he doesn't want to mate and Rayne agrees with him so she leaves and he goes back to his...... as I said before, Gia. Funny, at one point in time I think I wanted to name my future daughter Gia but now anytime I hear that name I just think about Gia Matteo from Fifty Shades and well this Gia but luckily I changed my mind about what gender baby I wanted before reading these books. I won't mind having a girl, don't get me wrong, once it's healthy I'll be fine but I find boys easier to handle and I always wanted to have a little boy so that when his daddy and I got into arguments he'd always gang up with me to take his dad down (I don't think I'll ever admit that to my future husband). Anyways, enough about me, back to the book. Five years later Sebastian contacts Rayne and asked her for a second chance but she has already moved on and fallen in love with someone else, so what will happen? From reading the comments and another review I have reason to believe that the Moon Goddess told Sebastian that he'll get a second chance but I'm not sure whether it's a second chance at love or RAYNE'S love.

I would give this book a 7/10 because not only does it have you itching for more but when you find out that it's paid you'll feel like so frustrated that you'd want to pull your hair out; when a book brings out your emotional side it means it's good.

PART 2:
The author of the book sent me 100 coins so I thought I would just put a second part in since I didn't want to change anything from above. This starts from when Rayne awakes.

When Rayne wakes up Arianna is the first person she sees. Sebastian arrives and Arianna asked him to give her some time, telling him that he wouldn't beat her but he would indeed hurt her. Rayne runs off and Sebastian follows, stringing after him an annoying, gold digging Gia.

He tells her that he wants her to go to his pack with him and she objects while Gia tries to convince him that she doesn't belong with them. Eventually Gia says something and Sebastian picks a part out of the sentence that confuses him; "WE need you." Gia then makes it known that she is pregnant.

I'm sorry but anytime I say her name or write it a huge neon sign flashes in my head saying 'SLUT WARNING! SLUT WARNING!' and coming from me that's bad. I absolutely abhor disrespect directed to females by other females so I'm glad she's fictional although it doesn't make me feel much better about myself. I feel dirty saying it but it's not as though I haven't broken my own promises to put other rude girls in their place. I feel disgusted in the end but that disappears when I remember anything they say or do to me.

He humiliates Rayne and indirectly rejects her, later leaving her kneeling on the floor while he drives off with his...... well with not-entirely-his-Gia.

Five years later.

Alec is dead. Yes, Alec, as in Alec-Alec, is dead. He found his mate who was going to be forced into an arranged marriage. He kills her fake mate, when dueled and claims her as his. She gets pregnant and her ex's brother finally decides to avenge his sibling's death. He teams up with rogues and decides to kill Alec, he succeeds but also gets killed. But get this, by.... (drum roll pleaseeee).... Alec's PREGNANT MATE! Ok let's be honest, I think everyone saw that coming.

Bridgette, who, might I add has a mate by the name of Carlos, tells Rayne who has a lover named Parker.

On to Sebastian's life!

Sebastian has a son named Jace, let's just face it, he's not his biological son... like duh. Arianna had a mate, Flynn, they have a kid together. I can't remember the kid's name right now, forgive me.

Arianna finds out about the attack on the packs she goes to find Sebastian to tell him since his mind-link is off. Subsequently Sebastian is watching his beloved Gia enjoy another man's touch in the cabin that he built for them. To be honest I laughed and cried because:
(1) He gave up his mate for that... disgrace to the feminine race.

(2) He deserved it.

(3) When he realises what he lost he'll probably feel sick.

(4) He treated his pack badly and dueled people because of the truthful things that the said about his lover and 'child'.

(5) Rayne found herself a man who will love her and he thinks that just because Gia didn't work for him he could run to Rayne. Which I call bull on. That's disrespectful. He dumped her indirectly and now he thinks she'll just... take him back?! She hasn't been sitting on her ass waiting for him to come to his senses, who does he think he is?

He banished the male wolf from the pack and he sends Gia to the dungeons. When Arianna notifies him about the Jade Moon Pack's misfortunes and sheds light on the fact that Rayne's body was not among those found. He insists that they leave so that he can find his, only-now-cosidered-as-his-mate, mate. I still don't know what's gonna happen but I must give the writer credit, he or she knows how to get me worked up.
