Among Us: The Story

The Map

I put on the purple suit provided and walked into the Skeld. The room has five circular picnic tables in the room and four doors around the perimeter of the room. Only the entrance was open, the other three doors are closed. 

Suddenly someone yelled "Purple!" Startled, I turn in the direction the voice came from to see Yellow running towards me from across the room "You just came in right? Heres a map to the ship so you don't get lost," they said handing me a piece of paper.

"Thanks!" I replied.

"Yeah, no problem! These maps were on one of the tables and I thought I should bring you one. I'm pretty sure we're here, in the cafeteria," Yellow says pointing at a room on the map, "I already gave White, Orange, Pink, Brown, Black, and Blue a map too by the way. I was the first one here so I got a little extra time to check things out," Yellow said with a smile.

"This is my first mission and I'm a little nervous, I've never gone to space before..."

"Yeah, it's my first mission too... I already asked the others and it seems like this is everyone's first mission, I wonder if they did that on purpose or not..."

Suddenly someone enters the room. It's Cyan? Aw man, I wanted to be Cyan... I thought to myself silently. Yellow looks at Cyan and turns back to me and says "Purple, I should go talk to Cyan and give them a map too. By the way, my pronouns are she/her. What is yours?"

"I use she/her too," I replied, glad that Yellow asked.

"Okay cool, I'm going to go talk to Cyan now! See you later!" Yellow turns away and starts calling out for Cyan before I could say bye back. Yellow seems nice but crewmates aren't allowed to be friends with each other... I can't be breaking rules yet...

I walked over to an empty table and sat down, looking at the other crewmates around the room. Pink and Orange are sitting together at one table, and Brown, Black, and White are sitting at another table. I noticed that Blue was all by themselves leaning against the southeastern wall of the cafeteria.

I stand up and walk over to Blue, "Hey, I'm Purple I use-"

"What do you want?" Blue spat, clearly annoyed.

"Oh, well I just wanted to introduce myself-"

"Why?" Blue cuts me off again, "There's no point. If there isn't anything else, leave me alone. I don't even really want to be here in the first place"

"Oh. Okay," I said quietly, "I'm sorry," I turned around and walked away, my confidence shattered. I look over and see Red entering the room as the door slams shut behind them.
